1 effective way to evaluate your memory is to try to remember the things that worried you yesterday.

CONTINUING THIS WEEKS POST ON, WHAT IS LIFE ABOUT AND WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE? AND WHY DO WE EXIST? PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Hello followers,

Happy Tuesday!

Are you ready for a new month?

It is hard to believe that this is the last week of September.

Soon it will be Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and then a new year.

Wow, where did this year go!

Yesterday as Dan and I was walking through the Roanoke Mountain Park, realizing that winter is coming soon; and yet seeing the leaves starting to change.

This December will mark twelve years choosing Functional Medicine for my cancer treatment.

Using other methods other than surgery, chemo or radiation was the best choice for me; for I am still here without all the poison and cutting.

I feel very blessed.

In combining our physical and mental functions, we can control our bodies and keep them healthy.

It took me a long time to realize this for myself.

Hopefully, this will help you, our followers.

Last week we posted on, self-empowerment, self-control, renewable vitality, emotion mastery and conscious communication along with smart focus, learning & adaptability, and constructive thinking.

Simple Ways to Find Out What Life is About-

There are many different behaviors, ideals, and actions that humans have found over the centuries that can be excellent methods to draw us towards that final, inner conclusion of why we exist.

There are a handful of ways to kickstart the adventure of finding out just what life is about.

Today Dan and I are exploring the second one, Detox from Technology and Gain Perspective.

Modern life is fraught with dangerously addicting distractions like social media, which can take up gobs of time without us even realizing it.

Once you have managed to disconnect from those devices and social profiles, it is important to take that time and energy and redirect it towards a healthier mindset.

Spend time meditating, praying, and even simply dwelling on an attitude of gratefulness.

Find things that you are thankful for and try to express appreciation for what you have on a regular basis (you know, rather than envying others as we scroll through our Facebook feeds).

Tomorrow, Look for Meaningful Ways to Give Back-

SEPTEMBER – 27th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about September that is so significant during this month?

Ancestor Appreciation Day – September 27, 2022

I pick this holiday for today, for my mother and sister is researching and gathering up our family genealogy.

It is exciting to hear the diverse backgrounds that I am part of.

Plus, Dan is also forming information about his mother and father’s genealogy.

Ancestor Appreciation Day comes up on September 27 every year.

It is a holiday dedicated to all families around the country.

Whether big or small, every family is encouraged to make the most of this wonderful day.

It consists of gathering to recount ancient family histories and all trace down our genealogies.

There are so many fun activities that can happen when the family is gathered.

The act of tracing one’s genealogy is a very ancient practice.

In ancient times, knowing one’s genealogy was as vital as choosing the right partner for marriage.

Both endeavors were even closely related, in the sense that people now began to marry people with whom they were not related.

Since then, many families make it a duty to construct a family tree that extends into many past generations.

But it is not just to avoid closely related marriages that people do this.

The concept of ancestry is very vital to a person’s identity, as it provides you a root for self-expression.

Today, many people cannot trace their lineage beyond a couple of past generations.

They do not know the history of their families and sometimes, they do not remember their heritage.

Ancestor Appreciation Day helps to reignite the importance of ancestry.

It is a day when people are encouraged to ask questions about their lineage.

It is also a day to spend with family and add some interesting photographs to the family album.

This holiday reminds us of the efforts of our ancestors and the wisdom of the elders.

It is a day on which we appreciate the good works of our ancestors.

The U.S. consists of several ethnic groups, many of which are native to other continents.

Holidays like Ancestor Appreciation Day helps to remind people of their roots.

It is a holiday that celebrates diversity and cultural heritage.

It also brings people together, as many people come to discover distant relations.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

JOY IS UNLIMITED, BECAUSE EACH SHINING THOUGHT OF LOVE EXTENDS ITS BEING AND CREATES MORE OF ITSELF.

Today Dan and I will be continuing the book, ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY; TASTE-

EATING PATTERNS AND STRESS-

By now, perhaps you are beginning to realize that your internal balance depends on the ratio of acid and alkaline foods you eat, as well as your lifestyle patterns.

This includes your levels of physical, mental, and emotional stress.

Different foods affect different moods, unfortunately; what we tend to reach for when we are down are things like chocolate or caffeine, which are not necessarily the best option much as we love them.

A holistic approach to diet means observing your mood patterns and eating foods that support your system, rather than aggravating or depleting it.

As I ponder over all that I have learned, I have come to find that we all have our own blueprint.

Our bodies are precious and there are many components in taking care of them.

Throughout the blog, Dan and I have related the separate ways through body, heart, and soul.

It is all about power of knowledge and learning to take care of yourself, keeping your cells happy.

Our immune system is one of the key factors in keeping healthy.

It is important to know how it works!

Germs and Viruses????

Bechamp described how in certain conditions microzymas could develop into bacteria within cell and could if the right conditions persisted; become pathological.

So that infection could develop in the body without the acquisition of the germ from an outside source.

These observations supported the belief of Professor Claude Bernard (1813-78), who contended that no matter where germs came from, they presented a danger only if the body was in a run-down state due to a disturbed milieu interieur.

Because other researchers without Bechamp's finesse had not observed the changes in form capable by various microbes, it was believed in orthodox circles that each form of the same microbe.

At the time it was observed, was an entirely different microbe which remained always the same.

Thus, as the 19th Century ended, two schools of thought existed; pleomorphism as propounded by Bechamp and Ernst Almquist (1852-1946) of Sweden, and monomorphism as propounded by Pasteur and Robert Koch (1843-1910) of Germany.

About this time Germany became predominant in world medical research, and because the germ theory of disease had become firmly entrenched in the minds of orthodox doctors.

The research into microbiology became focused more on medical problems than on the general study of biology.

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

TEST YOUR MEMORIES

One good way to test your memory is to try to remember the things that worried you yesterday. #onegood#wayto#testyourmemory#memory#toremember#thethings#worried#yesterday

Until Wednesday, schedule all your worrying for a specific half-hour

about the middle of the day. Then take a nap during this period.
