A mother holds her child's hand for just a short time, but holds their hearts forever.

Hello followers,

Today is Mother’s Day, mothers are colors of the rainbows; Dan and I dedicate this page for all the mother’s here and beyond.

The meaning of being a mother is virtually endless. A mother is a protector, disciplinarian and friend. A mother is a selfless, loving human who must sacrifice many of their wants and needs for the wants and needs of their children.

A mother works hard to make sure their child is equipped with the knowledge, skills and abilities to make it as a competent human being. Being a mother is perhaps the hardest, most rewarding job a woman will ever experience. Thank you to all you mothers out there.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO OUR MOMS, LOVE YOU

BE TRUE TO YOURSELF

Never let anyone change your mind about what you feel you can achieve.

Be true to the light that is deep within you. Hold on to your faith, hope and joy for life. Keep good thoughts in your mind and good feeling in your heart. Keep love in your life, and you will find the love and light is everyone.

Be giving, forgiving, patient, and kind. Have faith in yourself. Be your own best friend, and listen to the voice that tells you to be your best self.

Be true to yourself in the paths that you choose. Follow your talents and passions; don’t take the roads others say you must follow because they are the most popular. Take the paths where your talents will thrive; the ones that will keep your spirits alive with enthusiasm and everlasting joy.

Most of all, never forget that there is no brighter light than the one within you. Follow your inner light to your own personal greatness. By Jacqueline Schiff

Be what you are, and become what you are capable of becoming. By Robert Louis Stevenson

Do what you love, control your own life. Have imaginative realistic dreams, work hard. Make mistakes but learn from them. Believe in yourself but know your limitations. Ignore people who tell you that you can’t. Plow through obstacles and failures. Try to turn your dreams into reality. By Susan Polis Schutz

Today Dan is taking me to a natural reserve with nature trails. For Mother’s Day, a little retreat with hiking, a picnic, and enjoying the weather with some relaxation. What are you all doing today?

Yesterday was a great day for a walk on the Virginia Greenway. Had to cut it short for it was grocery day. But tomorrow is another day.

While we are gone, if you wish – meditation, Qigong and Walk at Home for today – below is the recap of last weeks, feel free to select one.

Recapping on the series of BELIEVING and series of HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO KEEP OUR CELLS HAPPY; for the week May 2nd to May 9th

It’s never too late, or too early; to start working toward a life’s ambition.

You deserve a joy that is uniquely, profoundly and humanly your own.

Energy is contagious, positive and negative alike.

Every goal that has ever been reached began with just one step.

Change your thoughts and you change your world.

No matter how old you may be, sometimes you just need your mom.

Great things do not have to be big things, they may be small things that make a great difference.

COMPASSION, KINDNESS, LOVE AND PEACE

Let Compassion move you, let kindness guide you, let love open you, let peace be within you. #compassion#kindness#guide#love#open#peace#inspirational#motivational

From the day they are born, a child will test your patience. No matter what they do or say, being a mother means you will love your child unconditionally. Children who receive love and attention from their mother are less likely later on to fall in love with someone who offers love conditionally, whether with behavior control or abuse. Show your child how much you love them with hugs and kisses. Listen to your child as they recount their day, play games or slip a note in their lunch box letting them know how much you love them.

Being a mother means being there to teach your child important rules and roles of life, from being an empathetic human being to learning how to be responsible of one's actions. As your child grows up, they are going to face an onslaught of differing thoughts, opinions and values from their friends, the movies, internet, television and magazines. A mother will help guide their child to figure out their goals and values in life as well as teach them the importance of an education, manners and more. A mother will also discipline their child, a skill that will benefit children throughout their life as well as at school, work and life at home. This is what a mother is!

Until Monday, the truth is that no matter how old we are, as long as our mothers are alive, we want our mother. And it’s a very powerful relationship if it’s healthy. A mother is not just someone who gave birth to a child. If you ask me, a mother represents the combination of feelings, behaviors and sacrifices that occur while raising a child, whether the child is biologically hers or not.
