Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.
CONTINUING ON THE NEW SERIES, REMEMBER TO CELEBRATE MILESTONES AS YOU PREPARE FOR THE ROAD AHEAD AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE HERB – DANDELION.
Hello Followers,
Happy Week-end!
Honoring your achievements not only feels good, it has numerous psychological benefits.
For example, celebrating milestones provides structure.
Rewarding yourself for successes, even small ones, gives you something to look forward to.
Celebrations can also help people transition into new phases of life.
Today we are going to explore the 5th experience that we all experience and that is, experiencing failure and rejection.
Some memories and milestones aren’t so pleasant.
Often, the things we remember most are moments of pain, fear, or disappointment.
As children, we have to deal with those emotions for the very first time.
Going through failure, like failing a math assignment or getting detention; teaches us that we’re not perfect or invincible.
And being rejected, not getting a valentine from our crush or an invitation to a classmate’s birthday party teaches us that we don’t always get what we want.
It’s the 11th day of June, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about June that’s so significant during this month?
National Making Life Beautiful Day – June 11, 2022
National Making Life Beautiful Day is celebrated on June 11 each year.
Dan and I wish it was not just one day in a year.
However, it is also up to us to decide to make life beautiful every day, so to encourage such a mindset, we bring you the beautiful facts about this very special day.
First, the purpose of National Making Life Beautiful Day is to celebrate those who make life beautiful for others.
Be it our own or a larger group of people.
The truly freeing part is that you often do not even realize when or how you are creating beauty in the life of another.
You could be investing in relationships, or lobbying for causes you feel strongly about, or just encouraging someone when they feel blue.
These are all beautiful actions that are bound to have a ripple effect.
The word beauty itself is so vast that essentially everyone deserves to be celebrated on this day,
just for adding beauty to the life of at least one other person in some subjective way.
Say Hi Day – June 11, 2022
Say Hi Day is an annual holiday celebrated on June 11 in memory of Joseph Anthony Cinotti.
He was a special needs teen who died at the age of 15.
Cinotti made it a habit to greet everyone he met throughout his life, and his upbeat personality endeared him to his neighborhood.
Say Hi Day is a public awareness campaign that aims to remind people that one simple word can improve someone’s day, bring a smile to their face, or shift their mood.
A simple welcome can start a chain reaction of positive contacts and make all the difference.
Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.
Today is:
ALL YOU REALLY NEED TO DO IS ACCEPT THIS MOMENT FULLY. YOU ARE THEN AT EASE IN THE HERE AND NOW AND AT EASE WITH YOURSELF.
Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.
Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.
A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

Chapter 16; IS DIFFERENT SCREWED UP?
Continuing today on; REALITY CHECK THREE; THE EFFECTS OF PERSONALITY-
Intrinsic personality traits must be appreciated to unite diversity.
We have to learn to stop and listen carefully to hear what is behind the words so we don’t get
trapped into a negative reaction by a manner of expression that is different from yours.
Tomorrow stating on, REALITY CHECK FOUR; PEOPLE NEED TO BE TRUE TO THEMSELVES-
This is the spot that Dan and I have been posting, on the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs.
This week Dan and I have been blogging on the herb; DANDELION and the benefits.
It’s amazing what and how dandelion can help keep your body healthy?
How about another recipe; ROASTED DANDELION AND REISHI TEA
The roasted, nutty flavor of the dandelion root hides the somewhat bitter flavor of the reishi.
Reishi is a mushroom known for its many health benefits.
Both are outstanding for supporting liver health.
You can buy dandelion root already roasted.
To root your own, heat dried minced roots on medium heat, preferably in a cast iron pan.
The roots are done when they turn a deeper brown and become aromatic.
Because dandelion root and reishi come in various sizes and shapes.
It is best to measure the amount by weight.
Ingredients:
6 grams dried sliced reishi
10 grams roasted dandelion root
Instructions:
1. Simmer the reishi and dandelion in 2 cups of water 30 minutes to 1 hour.
2. You can also put this in a slow cooker on a low setting overnight, but you may need to add more water.
3. Strain when done.
4. Drink within one day.
5. ENJOY!
The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.
We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.
If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.
