Appreciate where you are at this moment instead of always focusing on how far you have to go.

STARTING A NEW SERIES OF APPRECIATION AND CONTINUING ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE FROM LAST WEEK. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello followers,

Well, it’s the weekend and time to relax! What do you have planned for the weekend?

Dan and I are appreciating that we are able to go where and when we want. For so many years, while living in Mexico and the first year in Virginia; we relied on public transportation, Uber and Lyft.

Now that we have a car, we are able to experience and explore areas around our surroundings.

This makes us humble and grateful. So, not only does the appreciative make you a happier person but it can also encourage you to continuously find new and exciting things about your life you can be grateful for. In fact, the act of giving thanks; may also help you to see something positive in times of suffering.

Being grateful and appreciative is not always easy. In fact, life can often be so challenging that it’s difficult to give thanks.

The simple action of giving thanks can quickly and profoundly introduce new levels of happiness to your life. At the same time, the power of gratitude can spectacularly change the way you perceive your entire life.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

APPRECIATION

Appreciation is the basis for holidays, but It’s something that can and should be done every day. Think of each holiday and what it means. Then look around you and appreciate all the good that is in your life, your family, friends, possessions, and home.

If you focus on what’s good, good will come. If you focus on what’s lacking, more will soon be lacking. Anything that is focused on increases, where the more you appreciate what you have; the more you will have to appreciate.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

This is where we continue on the book: LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

Today I’m continuing on CHAPTER TWO - WHEN THE PRESSURE IS ON.

How to handle pressure? If you want to handle the pressure in and surrounding difficult relationships, self-control is essential. Ingredients help self-control possible; humor, prayer, work, and friends.

Humor brings objectivity.

Prayer grounds you in hope.

Work keeps you busy.

Friends bring normalcy back into focus.

It’s important for you to remember, you can’t do it alone. But when you are alone – humor helps.

Laughter diffuses a potentially explosive or implosive situation.

You can’t do it alone, but you are alone; humor helps.

Tomorrow’s continuing is when the pressure is on - you must ask, can I handle this any longer?

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. Continuing on the health benefits on PEPPERMINT. You might be surprised!

Did you know that peppermint repels bugs? Say goodbye to those sour smelling bug sprays! Trade it in for some peppermint oil, and you’ll be able to ward off bugs such as ticks, spiders, mosquitoes, ants, and lice. These plants are also natural bug repellents.

For lice applying peppermint oil to the hair.

To use, massage your hair properly with peppermint oil.

Leave it for 24 hours prior to washing your hair.

Repeat this 3 times a week to get rid of lice completely.

Alternatively, you can also dilute peppermint oil with olive oil if you experience any kind of skin irritation.

Peppermint oil also reduces the itchy sensation associated with dandruff.

Tomorrow I’ll post more peppermint benefits.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

Walk 15 Leslie and Nick Hiit Training | 15 Minute Walking Workout

This is Leslie and Nick’s HIIT Training Mile from Walk 15!

HIIT Training is one of the most effective training methods to BURN MAXIMUM CALORIES!

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation . Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

Full of Positive Feelings with this Gratitude Guided Meditation

The practice of gratitude has been said to increase your dopamine production. The advantages of rehearsing Gratitude Guided Meditations are almost interminable. Individuals who consistently practice appreciation by setting aside effort to see and think about the things they're grateful for experience increasingly positive feelings, feel progressively invigorated, rest better, express more empathy and thoughtfulness, and even have more grounded safe frameworks. Enjoy!

“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can’t see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it!

Until Saturday, true happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for they that is so wants nothing. The greatest blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach.
