Hello Followers,

Welcome to Sunday!

NATURE
NATURE

Finding peace in nature taught Dan and I that we do not need much to feel fulfilled, just the beauty around us.

Nature has a way of providing us with purpose and grounding us, reminding us of the bigger picture.

The greatest wealth is to live content with little. – Plato

Being in nature has a profound impact on our brains and behavior, reducing anxiety, stress, and increasing attention capacity, creativity, and social connections.

The question is, how can nature make you kinder, happier, and more creative?

Well, moving among the Blue Ridge Mountains Dan and I hooked on the experience, loving the way being in nature cleared our minds and helped us to feel more grounded and peaceful.

But even though we always believed that strolling in nature had many psychological benefits, we never had much science to back us up until now.

With knowledge and researching, Dan and I found out that scientists are beginning to find evidence that being in nature has a profound impact on our brains and our behavior, helping us to reduce anxiety, brooding, and stress, and increase our attention capacity, creativity, and our ability to connect with other people.

Next week we will explore how nature has an impact on our brains and behaviors.

RECAPPING THE WEEK

In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect.

Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they are still beautiful.

In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous.

Preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, it is the only home we have ever known.

A gentle reminder that nature is full of wisdom, and often,

the answers we seek are all around us in the natural world.

The Earth has music for those who listen.

Nature sings a beautiful melody to those who are willing to pause and listen with their hearts.

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.

In nature, there is no rush, no hurry.

Everything unfolds in its own time, reminding us that

peace comes when we let go of the need for speed.

GROUNDING

Today as we continue our series on grounding, Dan and I will explore the sixth practice for you to try with us.

Conscious Breathing: Lie on the ground, directly or with a thin cover, and breathe deeply.

Notice any tension or pain in your body, and consciously breathe into those areas, releasing the tension into the earth.

Find a place to sit and go within.

Take a few minutes away from the world to reset how you feel.

Return to this present moment.

The here, the now, and refuel with powerful energy, grounding you and helping you to feel balanced, mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Until Monday, nature is not a place to visit. It is home.

We are all connected to the earth, and nature should be a place where we feel safe,

grounded, and at peace.
