Hello followers,
HAPPY WEEKEND!
Wow, Dan and I cannot believe it is August already!
In six more days, it will be our 42nd anniversary.
Love is the ultimate reality of this world, the strongest passion that can bring about miracles in life.
Last night Dan and I were reminiscing over Halloween 1981.
We ended up on this conversation, because our daughter, Danielle sent us a picture of our granddaughter wearing some angel wings.
Danielle explained that they were the ones I kept of hers when she was little.
Now, let us go back to Halloween 1981.
We were invited to a costume party by Dan's friend on the Bounty that was docked at the St. Petersburg Pier.
Do you know where you were?
Going back the first thing I remember was shopping at rental costume stores, for something different that both of us would fit together.
While we were in this one in Pinellas Park, Dan saw two outfits that looked like Bonnie and Clyde.
What stood out to him was the play machine guns!
So, that Halloween we were Bonnie and Clyde.
I vaguely remember that night, but I have pictures to treasure.
I know Dan remembers that night, for the next morning he was hugging the toilet bowl.
Plus, that day was also a milestone for him, for that was the day that he weaned himself off of cigarettes.
You know that nasty habit!
And he has not smoked a cigarette since.
I cannot express how important it is to believe that taking one tiny, and possibly very uncomfortable step at a time can ultimately add up to a great distance.
THE WORD OF THE DAY-EXPRESSION
Think for a moment about how much a person is able to convey with just a facial expression.
A smile can indicate approval or happiness.
A frown can signal disapproval or unhappiness.
In some cases, our facial expressions may reveal our true feelings about a particular situation.
While you say that you are feeling fine, the look on your face may tell people otherwise.
The expression on a person's face can even help determine if we trust or believe what the individual is saying.
There are many interesting findings about body language in psychology research.
One study found that the most trustworthy facial expression involved a slight raise of the eyebrows and a slight smile.
This expression, the researchers suggested, conveys both friendliness and confidence.
Another study found that individuals who had narrower faces and more prominent noses were more likely to be perceived as intelligent.
People with smiling, joyful expressions were also judged as being more intelligent than those with angry expressions.
Understanding body language can go a long way toward helping you better communicate with others and interpreting what others might be trying to convey.
While it may be tempting to pick apart signals one by one, it is important to look at these nonverbal signals in relation to verbal communications, other nonverbal signals, and the situation.

DANCE FOR YOURSELF
If you hear a time, do your move to its music?
When a beat moves through your bones, do you sway?
Music is an invitation for your body to join in with the dance of life.
Do not be afraid to experience the wild adventure of movement and expression.
Dance a fundamental to who we are as people, and it helps us connect to our feelings and listen to the stiffness of both heart and body.
Let yourself move!
