Hello followers,

HAPPY HUMP DAY!

When two givers indulge in a connection, it is magic.

It is alchemy.

I water you.

You water me; we never drain each other.

We just grow.

Alright, moving on from Dan and my dating years to the biggest vacation of our lives.

Yes, this is where Dan and I ran off to get married, we also made it our honeymoon week.

It so happens that on this day August 6, 1982, Dan and I took our 1967 Chevy Impala without air conditioning to the Florida Keys.

After a whole day driving, we ended up in Marathon Key where we planned to camp at this campground that Dan had been to in the past, The Pirate Cove Camping Resort.

As we were driving through Marathon Key, you could blink and pass by; there was the courthouse that we saw in the corner of our eyes.

So, we turned around and stopped to file paperwork for a marriage license, it came to $25.00 dollars.

When we got the receipt, both Dan and I laughed at one another for they broke down charges, one was for the marriage license and the other for spouse abuse.

Yes, spouse abuse.

The clerk stated that, since it was Friday and the courthouse will be closing shortly, we would have to come back Monday to get married by the Justice of the Peace.

Heading out to the campground, I saw on the other side of the street this United Methodist Church.

A thought came over me, with my religious background I asked Dan if he would mind if we checked to see if the Pastor would be able to perform our vows.

He agreed, so we pulled over and entered the church where we knocked on the office door, Pastor Frank answered the door.

Dan explained to him that we were on vacation and had just gotten a marriage license and would like to get married in a church.

We spoke awhile with him, going through our religious backgrounds, relationship, and our future goals together.

Pastor Frank was hesitant, for he has never had this request asked so quickly of him, but he thought that it was very romantic that we would pick this place to get married.

So, he gave us a book; Christian Living in The Home and stated if we came to his service Sunday, he would marry us Monday August 9th.

Plus, we would have to pay $50.00 for the air conditioning to be turned on.

With that we went off to the campground because it was getting late, and we had this tent that had to be put up.

Tomorrow is another day, until then -

THE WORD OF THE DAY- RESPECT

In successful relationships, there are certain qualities that stand out and allow for ongoing trust and humble collaboration.

One of the most important relational traits that can be both given and received is respect.

Besides the common respect we strive to have for others in our day-to-day lives, there are even more opportunities to highlight this trait of deep admiration.

It is difficult to have a presence that commands respect if you do not already respect yourself.

Self-respect is imperative, not only because it impacts the way you are viewed by others, but because it encourages a positive view of self.

Similarly, people who can respect vary circumstances that come their way are able to take challenges in stride, believing that there are lessons to be learned along the journey.

I have great respect for the past.

If you do not know where you have come from, you do not know where you are going.

I have respect for the past, but I am a person of the moment.

I am here, and I do my best to be completely centered at the place I am at, then I go forward to the next place.

OFFER RESPECT

You will not have a good relationship with every person you meet or agree with every decision the people around you make.

There will always be differences, things that will separate and divide.

Sometimes the only common ground we can reach is a field of mutual respect.

Respect is a kind of love that we are all entitled to, whether we can share affection or joy.

We all deserve dignity to live safely and peacefully.

When you cannot extend any other kind of love, respect is always there to offer

PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

10-minute guided meditation to feel good about who you are.

No one can give you permission to be yourself except you.

In this meditation you will do just that with some inner journeying and energy work to help recognize your deepest self-love.

Come out of this refreshed, alive, and more deeply connected to the freedom of being yourself.

You deserve it!

It is always important to change your routine around you but continue keeping a healthy lifestyle.

Dan and I welcome you to go to the tag words and explore our posts.

Until Thursday, one of the sincerest forms of respect is listening to what another has to say.
