Compassion is the key to the ultimate survival of our species

TODAY DAN AND I ARE STARTING A NEW SERIES, WE ARE DESIGNED TO SURVIVE AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Hello followers,

Happy Week-end!

What are you planning for your last week-end of July?

Would it surprise you to know that it was never God’s purpose for humans to die?

The Bible book of Genesis provides evidence that it was God’s purpose for humans to live forever on earth.

As growing up Catholic, this was what I was taught.

Jehovah God took great care to prepare the earth for human habitation.

Then he created the first man, Adam, and placed him in a paradise, a garden in Eden.

After that, “God saw everything he had made, and look!

it was very good.”—Genesis 1:26, 31.

Adam was created perfect, in God’s image. (Deuteronomy 32:4)

Adam’s wife, Eve, too was without defect of any kind, perfect in mind and body.

Jehovah said to them: “Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving on the earth.”—Genesis 1:28.

To fill the earth with their offspring would take time.

Eve would have children, and those children would bear children until the earth became fully inhabited just as God intended. (Isaiah 45:18)

Is it reasonable to think that Jehovah would offer Adam and Eve that prospect if they were meant to live only long enough to see their children and perhaps grandchildren, and never know the outcome?

Think, too, about the commission to have the animals in subjection.

Adam was told to name the animals, and that would have taken time. (Genesis 2:19)

But to have them in subjection would have meant that he would have had to learn about them and to understand how to care for them.

That would have taken far more time.

So, God’s instructions to fill the earth and to have animals in subjection indicate that the first human couple were designed to live for a long time.

In fact, Adam did live for a very long time.

We were made to survive!

JULY – 30th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about July that’s so significant during this month?

Share a Hug Day – July 30, 2022

The idea behind it is to let the people close to you know that you love and appreciate them by hugging them.

Hugs are especially beneficial for people that are feeling down, as being surrounded by the arms of another person and the warmth of their body, communicates a sense of empathy, security, and solidarity.

Anytime is a great time to share a hug with someone willing to receive or give one.

The creator of Share a Hug Day was Mike Brundritt.

He used to be married to a woman he had been in a relationship with for 19 years, and they had two sons.

On the afternoon of July 30, 2017, they were returning home from a camping trip.

A transport truck hit them from behind while they were traveling.

Brundritt and his youngest son survived the tragedy, but his wife and oldest son died instantly.

Since then, Brundritt and his son have had mental issues, and he is still recovering from back injuries.

One year later, a few days before the first anniversary of the accident, he started thinking about ways to honor and remember his wife and son.

He remembered how often he and his family would share hugs, as a greeting, as a goodbye, or just to show their love.

He also remembered the many hugs shared with his friends after the accident.

Thus, he decided to start a hug day to honor their lives.

On July 30, 2018, he wrote a post on his Facebook profile: “We have days of the year designated for different things: National Coffee Day, National Ice Cream Day, etc.

I would like your help in starting National Share a Hug Day.

July 30th is the anniversary of the loss of my son and wife and I want to try to honor the love that we shared by starting something special.

I am not sure how to get this going, but for now, I think word of mouth will work.

Please go and hug someone today to help get this movement started.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

EVERYONE WANTS TO LIVE ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN, BUT ALL THE HAPPINESS AND GROWTH OCCURS WHILE YOU’RE CLIMBING IT.

Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.

Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.

A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 18; SEE THE POSSIBILITIES-

FAITH HELPS MEET THE CHALLENGE-

Overcoming the negative pull of toxic people can seem as impossible as climbing Mount Everest.

The longer the climb, the less oxygen fills your lungs.

You struggle as the conflict patterns continue, feeling you can’t breathe.

Your muscles scream out in pain for lack of oxygen.

You feel hope being squeezed from your soul.

Continuing on, even one six-inch step at a time, requires tremendous strength.

Yet you can stand, as did Edmund Hillary; the first man to climb Mount Everest.

Pointing toward your mountain and declaring in a loud voice, you beat me the first time but I’ll beat you the next because you’ve grown all you are going to grow, but I’m still growing.

One year after facing his challenge, Edmund Hillary made his successful climb.

Undergirded by a faith that helps you see the impossible as possible, you can be successful.

Continue tomorrow-

Today Dan and I will be continuing on the book; ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are with you at all times; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy; meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes

COMPASSION IS THE KEY 🗝️

Until Sunday, even in its darkest passages, the heart is unconquerable.

It is important that the body survives, but it is more meaningful that the human spirit prevails.
