Don’t wait around for other people to be happy for you.

RECAPPING THIS WEEK ON, WHAT IS LIFE ABOUT AND WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE? AND WHY DO WE EXIST? PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Hello followers,

Countdown to some cooler weather, Autumn arrives in 12 days.

And if you know Dan, Its non-stop football.

Just this Friday, he looked at the schedule of the high school team that surrounds us.

He was excited for it was going to be the first home game of the season.

We had season Tampa Bay Buccaneer tickets for many years, but haven’t gone to a high school game since our daughter was in high school many moons ago.

So, off we went!

However, before we went, we stopped to get a bite to eat at this organic place that we occasional go to for tacos.

While we were there, the counter girl, remembered us last time and asked if we were going to the park.

Dan replied, no we are going to a Cave Springs High School football game.

With that, the manager came out and told us that he graduated a couple of years after Tiki and Ronde Barber graduated there.

He then continued to explain that there is a trophy case at the school in honor of them.

That just lit up Dan’s face, for we would watch Ronde Barber practice and play for the Buccaneers.

GO BUCS!

And the bottom line this Friday the team could have used them, for they lost big time.

The moral of the story is, it’s a small world after all.

Growing up in Florida and then moving to Mexico in my fifty’s, then to Virginia; who would have known that in the light of football this is where the Barber’s grew up.

So today topic is, what is your purpose in life?

Dan and I have posted a series awhile back similar, however; it’s never too much to speak about.

What is the nature of life?

What does life mean to you?

Is there a purpose?

If we seek jobs, all we will find are jobs.

But if we have a sense of purpose in how we are productive; if we seek a calling, then we will find more than a job.

We will find our contribution to humanity and we will find more to life.

Would you agree?

Research has shown that having a purpose and meaning in life increases overall well-being and life satisfaction, improves mental and physical health, enhances resiliency, enhances self-esteem, and decreases the chances of depression.

So, it should be noted that to be happy in life isn’t always enough, because happiness is a surge of emotions that does not last.

Instead, it’s more important to find and have meaning in life.

Dan and I would like to take this time to honor all that passed on 9/11.

Throughout history there has been so much tragedy, which Dan and I have learned since we have been living in Virginia.

From the Indians to the Civil War and even World War II, we are in awe every time we learn something new that took place in history.

RECAPPING THIS WEEK ON, WHAT IS LIFE ABOUT AND WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE? AND WHY DO WE EXIST? PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Knowledge is the eye of desire and can become the pilot of the soul.

Potential counts for a lot; but heart, desire, and will can take a dream from potential to possible.

Desire is possibility seeking expression.

Always desire to learn something useful.

Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of one’s desire to understand.

Not in doing what you like, but in liking what you do is the secret of happiness.

Make it a rule of life never to regret and never to look back.

SEPTEMBER – 11th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about September that’s so significant during this month?

No News is Good News Day – September 11, 2022

We all could use this day!

No News is Good News Day is an interesting occasion that is marked in the U.S every year on September 11.

While it may seem amusing, you’d be surprised at how much bad news affects the general mood in the public atmosphere.

But on No News is Good News Day, you can take a break from the twenty-four-hour news cycle and focus on more positive thoughts.

As technology continues to make it easier to connect with literally any part of the world, being able to switch off from the endless information frenzy is becoming important.

On this day, you can take a breather and shield yourself from worrying about any news by going offline.

Although this day is native to the U.S, its origin and history are largely unknown.

However, with the pressures of social media shenanigans and political conflicts sprouting daily, not forgetting climate change; it’s become very necessary to unplug from time to time.

Staying away from external information can greatly improve the quality of your mood, which consequently boosts your productivity.

But most times, it’s hard to maintain high levels of motivation because our timelines keep us updated on every single conflict happening anywhere in the world.

With practically everything these days beginning and ending on social media, there’s always a full storehouse of content to keep you phone-surfing for hours.

And even though it feels like most online content is pretty harmless; they can subtly influence their audience and the choices they make.

A day when everyone can unplug from the frenzy is a great concept and deserves to be adopted globally.

Unplug from the internet and switch off the T.V. Pick up a board game or take a stroll to the beach.

And in Dan’s and my case, going to a park; surrounding ourselves around the Blue Ridge Mountains.

When you give it much thought, you’ll realize that there are endless activities you can do on No News is Good News Day.

Apart from the psychological benefits of having peace of mind for a full day, you’ll feel energized and refreshed when you get back into the mix of things.

And as more people strive to achieve a better work-life balance, this day is bound to gain more recognition in the coming years.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL IT IS, THINK OF SOMETHING YOU LIKE ABOUT YOURSELF AND TAKE A MOMENT TO APPRECIATE IT. RECOGNIZING YOUR STRENGTH WILL HELP YOU BUILD CONFIDENCE.

Today Dan and I will be continuing on the book; ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are with you at all times; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy; meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY

LOOKING AFTER YOUR EYES-

VISION OF NATURE-

Seeing vision is all about light.

And the effects it has on everything around us.

Remember too, that our eyes can see very well in the dark.

If you have the chance, go out and really look at the clear night sky.

If you are far enough from the city lights, the pattern of the stars is extraordinary and even the silken swathe of the Milky Way can be seen.

Street lamps are a new phenomenon.

For thousands of years, we have relied on the stars and moon to light our way and our eyes to navigate.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Tomorrow, TASTE

As I ponder over all that I have learned, I have come to the findings that we all have our own blueprint.

Our bodies are precious and there are many components in taking care of them.

Throughout the blog, Dan and I have related the different ways through body, heart and soul.

It’s all about power of knowledge and learning to take care of yourself, keeping your cells happy.

Our immune system is one of the key factors in keeping healthy.

It’s important to know how it works!

Continuing on the subject that has it’s pro and con and that is; Immunization.

Richard Moskowitz, MD, of New York in his lecture "Immunizations--A Dissenting View" also commenced by saying; finally, even if such an emergency did exist, and artificial immunization could be shown to be an appropriate response to it, the decision would remain essentially a political one.

Involving issues of public health and safety that are far too important to be settled by any purely scientific or technical criteria, or indeed by any criteria less authoritative than the clearly articulated sense of the community about to be subjected to it.

For all of these reasons, I want to present the case against routine immunization as clearly and forcefully as I can.

What I have to say is not quite a formal theory capable of rigorous proof or disproof.

It is simply an attempt to explain my own experience, a nexus of interrelated facts, observations, reflections and hypotheses.

More to come –

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

BE HAPPY 😁

Until Monday, don’t wait around for other people to be happy for you.

Any happiness you get you’ve got to make yourself.
