Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction.

CONTINUING ON A NEW SERIES, WHAT IS LIFE ABOUT AND WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE? AND WHY DO WE EXIST? PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Hello followers,

The week is counting down and we are also counting down to some cooler weather, Autumn arrives in 8 days.

Its funny, must of us all take life for granted.

For years Dan and I have been posting ways to live a quality of life, but What is it that defines life?

How can we tell that one thing is alive and another is not?

Most people have an intuitive understanding of what it means for something to be alive.

However, it’s surprisingly hard to come up with a precise definition of life.

Because of this, many definitions of life are operational definitions; they allow us to separate living things from nonliving ones.

But they don’t actually pin down what life is.

To make this separation, we must come up with a list of properties that are, as a group, uniquely characteristic of living organisms.

In the next posts we will explore the properties.

But until then, according to a study; you can find the meaning in your life by assessing three dimensions of your life.

Today Dan and I will be posting on the third one, Significance.

Significance is the inherent value of your life.

People live different lives.

This point reassures you that your life matters, you are worth living, and you are living a meaningful life.

You have significance and the world will not be the same if you didn’t exist.

Tomorrow, Stop Going on a Wild Goose Chase-

SEPTEMBER – 15th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about September that’s so significant during this month?

National Tackle Kids Cancer Day – September 15, 2022

National Tackle Kids Cancer Day is observed on September 15 every year to draw attention to the crucial need for fundraising for pediatric cancer.

Despite the cases of childhood cancer climbing up every year, only 4% of federal spending is applied to pediatric cancer research.

Under the leadership of Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation, Tackle Kids Cancer has raised $10 million from over 7000 supporters.

The raised funds are invested in innovative research and survivor rehabilitation programs by the Children’s Cancer Institute.

By observing the day and raising awareness about the cause, good faith Samaritans get a chance to be a part of over a dozen clinical trials and neuro-oncology programs to fight pediatric cancer.

It is estimated that over 15000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year.

To put that figure into perspective, 1 in every 285 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with cancer before they turn 20.

Unfortunately, the scale of federal response toward finding a treatment has failed to meet the scale of the crisis.

With the worsening numbers and no relief in sight, Hackensack Meridian Health established Tackle Kids Cancer in September 2015.

Since then, it has raised funds to support cutting-edge initiatives in pediatric cancer research.

Crediting the success of the program, Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation established the National Tackle Kids Cancer Day in 2017 to further raise awareness about the lack of medical and financial infrastructure in pediatric cancer research.

Kids who do survive cancer have a tough life ahead of them.

This is why Tackle Kids Cancer also funds the Cure and Beyond Program to help survivors rejoin society.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

THE MOST WASTED OF ALL DAYS IS ONE WITHOUT LAUGHTER.

Today Dan and I will be continuing on the book; ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are with you at all times; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy; meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY; TASTE-

TASTES OF HISTORY AND TRADITION-

The ancient Egyptians believed the universe was the same shape as the onion and swore oaths on the onion as we would on the Bible.

Onions were a regular food for poor and wealthy alike and were often eaten raw.

In the 16th century, the Spanish conqueror Hernan Cortez noticed the Aztec King Montezuma drinking cocoa flavored with ground-up vanilla pods.

These long black aromatic pods came back to Europe in sacks along with cocoa and were considered as valuable as the gold, jewels and other plunder.

The vanilla-scented chocolate drink became all the rage because it was considered to be an aphrodisiac.

Four hundred years or so later, our appetite for chocolate is as strong as ever.

It remains one of the most sensually pleasing foods.

Tomorrow, more on the history and tastes-

As I ponder over all that I have learned, I have come to the findings that we all have our own blueprint.

Our bodies are precious and there are many components in taking care of them.

Throughout the blog, Dan and I have related the different ways through body, heart and soul.

It’s all about power of knowledge and learning to take care of yourself, keeping your cells happy.

Our immune system is one of the key factors in keeping healthy.

It’s important to know how it works!

Today the subject is, Immunotherapy.

Immunotherapy is the attempt to influence the course of a disease by artificial manipulation of the immune system after the disease has become established.

Vaccines made from blood samples; urine have been used against a number of diseases in an endeavor to stimulate a specific immune response, as well as various other vaccines designed to stimulate the non-specific response.

Results have always been disappointing, and this is no wonder.

Failure of immunotherapy is inevitable, because it is designed to stimulate artificially something which is exhausted.

The solution is simple: forget about the immune system, forget about the tumor, headache, or what have you, and set about restoring the general health with diet, rest, relaxation, sunshine and exercise.

The immune system will thereupon regenerate along with the rest of the body, thankful to be free of medical "help".

Continue tomorrow-

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

PURPOSE AND DIRECTION

Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction . #effortandcourage#courage#notenough#withoutpurpose#purpose#direction#whatislifeabout

Until Friday, happiness is within.

It has nothing to do with how much applause you get or how many people praise you.

Happiness comes when you believe that you have done something truly meaningful.
