Even a thought, even a possibility, can shatter and transform us.

STARTING THE NEW YEAR OFF ON THE SERIES OF LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, THE HERB - ROSE AND 101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS.

Hello Followers,

HAPPY WEEK-END!

Believe it or not finances are the biggest health related cause to diseases.

Most of us one time or another stated that they are going to spend less money or promise to save more.

If there’s one resolution that’s ripe for big promises and crushing failure, it’s the intent to do “better” with finances.

This issue Dan and I are transforming toward.

Especially this coming year.

Whether it’s to “spend less money” or a promise to “save more”, there are specific goals that we can transform to.

Instead of promising to “shop less” for the entire year, take a look at your monthly budget for January and allocate everything to a specific purpose.

As long as you budget well, there’s no need to “resolve” to save anything.

You can split your direct deposits, schedule automatic withdrawals to external accounts, or use banks like Simple that allow you to slowly withdraw small amounts of money over time.

You can refrain from getting Starbucks every day, which will save you $4-5 a day or about $100 or so a month.

Dan and I loved going to a coffee shop.

We would walk down the street to Mountain Coffee or Barnes and Noble.

However, we have stopped by transforming and just making coffee at home.

Another way to save is to shave $200 off your car payment or power bill, which is stressful less frequently and can potentially yield a much higher reward.

Your three biggest expenses are probably housing, transportation and food, so if you’re looking to save money, start there.

The best part about financial resolutions is that they’re easy to quantify.

If you want to improve your finances in the new year, start by picking a number.

Whether it’s for the year, the month, or the day, giving yourself a specific amount of money, you want to save can help narrow down your resolution to something that’s specific enough to pull off.

Time is free, but it’s priceless.

You can’t own it, but you can use it.

You can’t keep it, but you can spend it.

Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.

Time is taken for granted, but after it is gone; all we have left

are the memories.

So, I put together 365 inspirational sayings; this way we can stop for a second and pause.

This was inspired by giving as Christmas gifts to our loved ones.

Each day Dan and I will also shake and pull out of our box and share with you all.

Today is:

BELIEVE IT CAN BE DONE. WHEN YOU BELIEVE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE, REALLY BELIEVE, YOUR MIND WILL FIND THE WAYS TO DO IT. BELIEVING A SOLUTION PAVES THE WAY TO SOLUTION.

101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.

Continuing from last year!

Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.

That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.

CHAPTER 2; HAPPILY, PEACEFUL

APPRECIATE SOLITUDE

Some dread being alone, but solitude is ideal for productive self-refection.

It can also provide relief from social stresses, like a refuge you carry around with yourself.

It’s healthy for a couple to spend separate time alone occasionally.

If you have good relationships, fear of being alone is probably a symptom of insecurities calling for mindful self-analysis.

Try solo walking, or going alone to a movie, play or concert; it may grow on you.

SALUTE THYSELF; SEE WHAT THY SOUL DOTH WEAR. By George Herbert

Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.

Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.

A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 11; MAKE ANGER YOUR ALLY

TO TURN ANGER INTO AN ALLY, PARTNER WITH IT.

Continue on TAKE CONTROL

Like Lee Iacocca, he found strength as he bonded together with those around him to keep Chrysler alive.

Find a source of strength outside your relationship.

Sure, your spouse should make you happy.

Your children owe you.

Parents are supposed to be nice.

Bosses should respect their employees.

SO?

Screwed-up relationships stay screwed up because no one will budge.

Use your anger to get off your duff and make a difference.

Last year, Dan and I have been posting, this is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs.

As I continue on herbs this year, for two days ago we started on the herb; ROSE and the benefits.

It’s amazing what and how rose can help keep your body healthy?

ROSES have a positive effect on the physical heart.

In one study people were given 40 grams of rose hip powder daily for six weeks.

At the end of the six weeks, there was a significant improvement in blood pressure and plasma cholesterol in the people taking the rose hip powder as compared with the control group.

Researchers wanted to investigate the physiological effect of rose oil on humans by applying it on the skin.

Those receiving the rose oil had decreases in breathing rate, blood oxygen saturation and systolic blood pressure; which indicated there was an overall decrease of autonomic nervous system arousal.

They also self-rated themselves as being calmer and more relaxed than those in the control group.

This study is a wonderful example of the roses effect on multiple dimensions of health.

Besides being a symbolic gift of the heart, roses can be used to gladden the heart.

They are commonly used for mending a broken heart and supporting someone going through grief, sadness and depression.

Herbalist David Winston recommends a tincture of rose petals in combination with hawthorn leaves and mimosa bark for grief and post-traumatic stress syndrome.

A four-week study that looked at the combination of rose oil and lavender essential oil for women at high risk for postpartum depression found that those receiving the aromatherapy treatments had significant improvements in both anxiety and depression without any adverse effects.

As Dan and I begin a new year, this is our PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.
