RECAPPING THIS WEEK SERIES MODERATION IS THE KEY TO LIFE, EMBRACING THE PRESENT MOMENT AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE FOR NOV. 21st to DEC. 4th. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO? BONUS, THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING.

Hello Followers,

Burr, its finely starting to feel more like the holidays.

Hanukkah began last Sunday, November 28th to December 6th.

And count down 20 days until CHRISTMAS.

REMEMBER -

As the holidays approach, we go through some stress by over working; that causes poor health.

Lack of moderation in terms of food, drinking, sex, recreation and even work causes serious health problems.

Most of us tend to be hardworking!

We work and work and work to be successful and prosperous so that we can have a secure and enjoyable future.

But lack of moderation, often leads to poor health.

Therefore, if we overwork, instead of being able to enjoy our future, we might be using the accumulated wealth, to get back our health!

Practice Moderation.

Do not overwork!

Keep your body healthy

In terms of emotional health, stress and over-worrying about the future leads to various health issues as well.

We need not to worry about the future.

If we have done everything that has to be done, future will take care of itself.

101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.

Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.

That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.

CHAPTER 2; HAPPILY, PEACEFUL

BE MINDFUL

Mindfulness hasn’t been overhyped; it genuinely offers an open sesame to inner peace.

The idea is simple!

Cultivate the habit of giving full attention to the present moment, without judging yourself for any unwanted thoughts and feelings that may arise.

When you notice your attention is distracted gently return it to your chosen focus.

This may be your breathing or bodily sensations, or some object like a fruit or ornament.

You might benefit from a guided eight-week course but it’s easy enough to go solo.

Leaving more in the moment and less in the past and future detaches you from regrets and fears.

THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING

The human body has two basic types of senses, called special senses and general senses.

Special senses have specialized sense organs that gather sensory information and change it into nerve impulses.

Special senses include the vision for which the eyes are the specialized sense organs, hearing (ears), balance (ears), taste (tongue), and smell (nasal passages).

General senses, in contrast, are all associated with the sense of touch and lack special sense organs.

Instead, sensory information about touch is gathered by the skin and other body tissues, all of which have important functions besides gathering sensory information.

Whether the senses are special or general, however, all of them depend on cells called sensory receptors.

A sensory receptor is a specialized nerve cell that responds to a stimulus in the internal or external environment by generating a nerve impulse.

The nerve impulse then travels along with the sensory (afferent) nerve to the central nervous system for processing and to form a response.

There are several different types of sensory receptors that respond to different kinds of stimuli:

Mechanoreceptors respond to mechanical forces such as pressure, roughness, vibration, and stretching.

Most mechanoreceptors are found in the skin and are needed for the sense of touch.

Mechanoreceptors are also found in the inner ear where they are needed for the senses of hearing and balance.

Thermoreceptors respond to variations in temperature.

They are found mostly in the skin and detect temperatures that are above or below body temperature.

Nociceptors respond to potentially damaging stimuli, which are generally perceived as pain.

They are found in internal organs as well as on the surface of the body.

Different nociceptors are activated depending on the particular stimulus.

For example, some detect damaging heat or cold, others detect excessive pressure, and still, others detect painful chemicals such as very hot spices in food.

Photoreceptors detect and respond to light.

Most photoreceptors are found in the eyes and are needed for the sense of vision.

Chemoreceptors respond to certain chemicals.

They are found mainly in taste buds on the tongue, where they are needed for the sense of taste; and in nasal passages, where they are needed for the sense of smell.

Love without limits, dream without fear and live in the moment.

Avoid the temptation to force a moment so you won’t miss the one with your name on it.

Your life requires your mindful presence in order to live it. Be here now.

Live the actual moment. Only this moment is life.

Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the ‘now’ the primary focus of your life.

Moderation Is the Key to Life

Be moderate in order to taste the joys of life in abundance.

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

DID YOU KNOW?

From early on, left-handers realize that they are different from other individuals.

One of the requirements for a leader, real or aspiring, is that he or she needs to be able to anticipate what is going to happen.

To think about things in unconventional ways, to see himself or herself as different from the rest of the pack.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

HOW SAFE IS

THROUGH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES AND VIEDO'S

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words.

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 10; BUTTONS AND TRIGGERS

Continuing on STOP RESPONDING TO BUTTONS

Study your relationship.

Evaluate the past lessons, determine a new course for the present and move toward goals for the future.

See, the pluses and minuses.

These are tools and lessons to be used for changing from negative directions to proactive behaviors.

Think through these six questions and write your thoughts in your notebook so that you can refer back to your answers.

· Why does your SUP irritate, hurt, or anger you?

· Why do you think they act that way?

· What qualities do you appreciate in yourself, or others as the result of the irregular behavior of your SUP?

· Do you grieve over the behavior or over what is lost in your life as a result of it?

· What have you learned to do, or not do, as the result of the SUP’s behavior?

· Are there gifts in your life as the result of the behavior (your friends, more time with your children, time for your own priorities, and so on)?

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of HAWTHORN. It’s amazing what and how hawthorn can help keep your body healthy?

Did you know?

Hawthorn is used to aid digestion.

Hawthorn berries and hawthorn extract have been used for centuries to treat digestive issues, particularly indigestion and stomach pain.

The berries contain fiber, which has been proven to aid digestion by reducing constipation and acting as a prebiotic.

Prebiotics feed your healthy gut bacteria and are vital to maintaining healthy digestion.

One observational study in people with slow digestion found that each additional gram of dietary fiber consumed decreased the time between bowel movements by approximately 30 minutes.

Additionally, a rat study observed that hawthorn extract dramatically reduced the transit time of food in the digestive system.

This means that food moves more quickly through your digestive system, which may alleviate indigestion.

Furthermore, in a study in rats with stomach ulcers, hawthorn extract exhibited the same protective effect on the stomach as an anti-ulcer medication.
