Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.

CONTINUING ON; FAITH AND LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello Followers,

October is here!

Welcome to the first day of October and to Dan’s and my blog.

Life is beautiful and filled with happy moments, but it can also be challenging.

Sometimes we’re forced to go through unbearable situations.

In those difficult times, faith can be our salvation.

Faith is a fundamental part of our lives.

From a very young age we’re taught that leaning on faith when facing problems can help us overcome anything.

Having faith and a positive outlook on life can also help us motivate and encourage people around us whenever they feel hopeless, broken or desperate.

It doesn’t really matter what you believe in as long as it doesn’t lead to destructive behavior.

You can believe in divinity, the Universe, yourself or all of these combined.

When you experience loss and emptiness, whether you’re mourning the death of a loved one, cry over a gut-wrenching heartbreak or feel completely alone; a little faith can do miracles for you.

It will give you strength and hope that better days are yet to come.

FAITH, has given Dan and I a life together.

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

It’s time to share some words from THE LEFT-HANDER’S HANDBOOK.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

Left-handers often do well when they grow up.

Despite the fact that only one person in ten is left-handed, a full third of all presidents since 1945 have been left-handed.

Life has not always been easy for left-handers.

From ancient times until well into the twentieth century, left-handedness was looked upon as a loathsome and unnatural aberration; to be dealt with ruthlessly and dispatch.

Any child who showed a tendency to favor the left hand was severely chastised by right-minded teachers, cautioned by right-minded parents, lectured by right-minded religionists and vilified by right-minded citizens the world over; who invented self-righteous words to express their approbation of UGH left-handedness.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

FAITH

What’s the difference between having faith and wishing?

When you wish, you HOPE things will get better.

But you may not BELIEVE they will.

When you have faith, you BELIEVE things will get better, and you look for opportunities to make that happen.

Think of the statements; I wish you the best versus, I have faith that you will succeed.

Which is more confident?

Don’t just wish, have 100 percent FAITH!

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

13 PICTURES - ENJOY THE SLIDE SHOW

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Tomorrow I will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CONTINUING ON – ARE EMOTIONS DRIVERS OF PHYSICAL HEALTH?

Stress is inevitable and even good to a point.

But in negative relationships that keep us in stewing tensions, as in a major negative life crisis.

The sooner we get our emotions in check, the less likely we are to damage our health.

Allowing negative emotions to simmer and then boil is comparable to slowly dripping water into your computer.

It takes time to recognize the harm but the small drips over time will short-circuit the system.

Likewise, the tension drips that begin in our head will end up negatively affecting our body.

What begins in the head ends up affecting the body.

Tomorrow begins; CONTROLLING THE CONTROL CENTER.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of TURMERIC. It’s amazing what and how turmeric can help keep your body healthy?

Did you know that curcumin may lower your risk of heart disease?

Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the world.

Researchers have studied it for many decades and learned a lot about why it happens.

Unsurprisingly, heart disease is incredibly complicated and various things contribute to it.

Curcumin may help reverse many steps in the heart disease process.

Perhaps the main benefit of curcumin when it comes to heart disease is improving the function of the endothelium, the lining of your blood vessels.

The endothelial dysfunction is a major driver of heart disease.

This is when your endothelium is unable to regulate blood pressure, blood clotting, and various other factors.

Several studies suggest that curcumin can lead to improvements in heart health.

Additionally, one study found that it’s as effective as exercise in post-menopausal.

In addition, curcumin can help reduce inflammation and oxidation, which can play a role in heart disease.

In one study of 121 people undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery, researchers assigned them either a placebo or 4 grams of curcumin per day a few days before and after the surgery.

The curcumin group had a 65% decreased risk of experiencing a heart attack in the hospital.

Curcumin has beneficial effects on several factors known to play a role in heart disease.

Plus, it’s an anti-inflammatory agent and antioxidant.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while

managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

Thursday before Dan and I went on our walk, I noticed listed as a park this garden on the campus of Western Virginia College.

Loved the peaceful atmosphere.

Then on to the Tanglewood Mall for our walk.

As we keep our health up, we are exploring our surroundings.

Enjoying our new finds.

Shifting from Fear to Faith: A Hope Restoring Meditation

Witnessing what's going on in the world and feeling into fear rising, Victoria Jazwic - The Soul Nurturer felt called to offer this brief guided meditation to support us all in choosing faith over fear, awareness over reaction and to help us set our inner thermostats on a state being that supports us and those around us.

Instead of fear what can you choose to grow through what you are going through?

“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation.
