Happy Hump Day,


Today Dan and I are going to focus that faith helps you to discover your purpose in life and trumps stress, anxiety, and fear.

Going through life and all of its ups and downs can take a toll on us.


At times, it’s enough to question our very existence.


But through all of the trials and tribulations we might face, it’s faith that gives us that helping hand.


It works to guide us in the right direction, moving us towards and allowing us to discover our purpose in life.

This doesn’t happen overnight.


Usually, when we’re faced with a difficult situation, it gets harder before it gets better.


Little by little, a part of us is broken, until one day, we dig deep down inside and somehow find the strength we needed to make it through.


That strength comes from our faith.

Whether it’s your faith in God or in something else, that faith shall set you free.


Everything in life is far easier to get through when we have faith.

It’s the guiding light that helps push us towards our purpose.


It’s easy to allow stress, anxiety, and fear to run our lives.


We go from moment to moment worried about one thing or another.

Sometimes, those worries manifest themselves into highly-stressful situations, causing not only mental anguish, but physical problems as well.


There’s a clear and documented connection between stress and the increased likelihood of disease and illness.


When we allow our minds to move into that realm unchecked, there’s no telling of the damage that can be done.

But it’s faith that helps to keep those things at bay.


Even when we have no reason to believe that things will get better, it’s through faith that our situations do improve.


When you hold the utter expectation of that in your mind, no challenge is too difficult.


Learn to harbor faith and use it to eliminate stress, anxiety, and fear.


Think back to situations in the past when you made it through something you thought was insurmountable.

Believe and expect that good things will happen, and they will.


This isn’t about ignoring your problems; this is about knowing that your situation will improve deep down inside your heart and your soul.

How many are you out there are left-handers?


I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

WITH PICTURES

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

CHAPTER 8; HANDLING FRAZZLED EMOTIONS.


FACE REALITY!

Emotions are neither good nor bad.


Emotions simply are.


What is bad is the way a skewed relationship effects the delicate balance in which emotions coexist with reason.


Reason must guide the emotions, like a parent with a potentially unruly child.


It is not that the child is bad, but when they become overactive; their behavior can be destructive.


Reason provides discipline for their emotions as it turns overactivity into creativity.


Tomorrow we will continue on this topic.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of TURMERIC. It’s amazing what and how turmeric can help keep your body healthy?

GARAM MASALA

This traditional Indian spiced blend works well in curries, on meats and veggies.


For the freshest and most vibrant mix.


Recommending grinding the spices fresh and using the mixture within 1 week.

Ingredients:


2 tablespoons cumin powder

2 tablespoons coriander powder

1 tablespoon turmeric powder

1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon powder

¾ teaspoon clove powder

¾ teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions:


1. Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix thoroughly.

2. Store in on airtight container in a cool and dark location.

3. Use liberally on veggies and meat.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while

managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

Yesterday Dan and I took a walk in our neighborhood and went to our local coffee shop. Love fall!


I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!


Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!
