HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY.
Before adventuring out and exploring the challenges in forgiving ourselves, Dan and I would like you to join us in wishing our granddaughter Violet a Happy Birthday.
Having a granddaughter in our life is one of life’s greatest treasures.
She really does have this beautiful ability to bring love and happiness to our everyday life even if she is miles away.
Happy Birthday, Violet!
So, what is it that makes self-forgiveness so difficult at times?
Why do people often continue to punish themselves with relatively minor mistakes?
Engaging in actions that are not in line with our own values or self-beliefs can lead to feelings of guilt and regret.
Some people are just naturally more prone to reflect, which can make it easier to dwell on negative feelings.
The fact that self-forgiveness involves acknowledging wrongdoing and admitting that you might need to change can make the process more challenging.
People who are not yet ready to change may find it harder to truly forgive themselves.
Instead of admitting they might need to change, they might engage in a sort of artificial -self-forgiveness by simply overlooking or excusing their behavior.
Tomorrow, we are going to dive into potential drawbacks of forgiving yourself, stay tune.
You cannot travel back in time to fix your mistakes, but you can learn from them and forgive yourself for not knowing better.

A Guided Mediation to help you overcome guilt.
Some people find it difficult to overcome guilt, to forgive themselves.
This can become a difficult load to bear.
This meditation will help you to forgive yourself and leave guilt behind you.
Until Saturday, feeling compassion for us in no way releases us from responsibility for our actions. Rather, it releases us from self-hatred that prevents us from responding
to our life with clarity and balance.
