The other day, Dan and I walked to Barnes and Noble; where I picked up the next book that I will be introducing on the blog. The title is QUOTES ABOUT LIVING. I was taken while looking at the back of the book for there was this saying: People will either encourage you to fly or sit on your wings. Don’t be a resting place for anyone’s doubts or limitations. You’ve got places to go, and you can’t get to them by standing still.
This saying, reminded me of when I was diagnosed with cancer 2010; I changed the course of conventional treatments to ones that did not have side effects. I had some naysayers, that would have sat on my wings. However, Dan and I flew to Mexico to have other types of treatments. To this day I have managed without cancer and I am living without limitations.
MY JOURNEY OF COMPLETION~BODY~HEART~AND SOUL
HAS BEEN A YEAR
It’s hard to believe that a whole year has gone by since my first step to healing and managing cancer. As I glance back to what I had endured, I reflect the positive of my treatments. It has been an education in itself and with the knowledge; I have grown in so many ways. I learned to have an open mind and take in the knowledge that the world has to offer. The universe is a big place and has a lot of exciting methods other then cut, poison, and burn.
I left Mexico a year ago with a new understanding of my life. I was no longer afraid of cancer for I learned to control it through my doctors; Dr Perez and Dr Garcia. We are all going to die someday, but on what terms. I was not ready to give up and through my treatments and home program, I now understand the need to keep my body’s immune system in tack. Along with maintaining a balanced immune system, I was taught about how food affects one’s body.
I have been hearing for the past year " LETS FIND A CURE FOR CANCER",
Well, there is and its under our noses! If we can prevent it with changing our life style, would you, do it? I know it can be done ~ I have done it and truly believe that it’s all about our environment.
We have to change and reject all the chemicals that surround us and replace them with natural products.
This should be the future goal for all of us. I am humble and blessed for the time that GOD has given me and through change we can make a difference.
YOUR SUNSHINE 🌻
WHEREVER YOU GO, NO MATTER THE WEATHER, ALWAYS BRING YOUR OWN SUNSHINE.
Reflecting back from the first treatments, I was unable to swallow pills and one of my requests was for the medicine to be in liquid form. The doctors were understanding and provided me with most of them in IV form; however, they were not able to do for all. It was a challenge, but I learned to take the pills down with ice cold water (lots of ice). I have accomplished a great task, for I take ninety-seven enzymes, vitamins and minerals daily. If you think about it ~ That's about seven hundred a week and over thirty thousand this past year. I guess I am making up for all the years I wasn't able to swallow.
I know that it’s up to us to choose our direction, so I am not trying to sell you on anything, but I am trying to advise you to do some research before making a decision that is going to change your future.
IT CAN BE DONE ~ I am living proof.
SET YOUR SIGHTS HIGH
Dreams lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become. By John Ruskin
They build too low who build beneath the skies. By Edward Young
Imagine- here you are, on the high peak of the mountain. You can choose to wing your way toward the clouds, or you can simply walk the usual, ordinary paths that lead to the valley below.
Which choice will you make, the well-worn paths or rising above it all?
Beautiful things await you if you can reach the heights. By George Sand
We can do whatever we wish to do provided our wish is strong enough. By Katherine Mansfield
Did anyone notice, I did not put a practice of meditation on the blog yesterday! I forgot to post one, but Dan and I did the Journey to Your Secret Garden - Guided Meditation. How about you?
Well today, I’m not going to forget –
Guided Meditation for Shifting Realities
With so many requests, we have created this Guided meditation for Shifting. For those unfamiliar with the concept of Shifting, also known as shifting your reality, it is basically like being in a dream like state, where you are conscious that you are in this altered reality... similar to being in a lucid dream. Enjoy!
SORT YOUR LIFE ADMIN
With only yourself for company, there’s plenty of time to smooth off those edges that may be irritating you. Maybe your wardrobe ends up as more of a “floordrobe” or your sink seems to be filled with dirty dishes. Perhaps you never have time to do your filing, switch your gas and electricity bills for a cheaper option, or even set up a pension. While all these things may seem boring, once you’ve ticked them off, you’re to-do-list, you will definitely be giving yourself a high-five.
Are you giving your body cells healthy foods and keeping them happy? Your cells depend on adequate intakes of several nutrients to stay healthy. These nutrients come from a variety of foods in each food group. and the best way to be sure you are getting the daily recommendations for each is to eat a well-balanced diet. You may also want to include a supplement under your doctor's recommendation if you are having trouble getting enough. Dan and I go to a functional medicine doctor. They treat your whole body and get to the root cause, instead of just considering symptoms.
Protein plays a large role in cell growth and repairs damaged cells as well. Most Americans get enough protein every day, but a deficiency could result in health problems having to do with your skin, hair, nails, blood, organs and muscles. Protein comes from animal products including beef, chicken, fish, pork, eggs and milk. Beans, peas, nuts, seeds and corn are plant products that contain protein.
Dan and I have wild salmon, organic beans, nuts. If having beef, chicken or eggs they will be grass-fed. We do not have any dairy; it’s substituted with almond or oatmeal.
Iron is a nutrient that builds healthy red blood cells, and a deficiency could result in feelings of weakness or fatigue, otherwise known as anemia. Foods that are rich in iron include, beans, beef, chicken, shrimp, peas, dried fruit, potatoes, spinach, whole grains and tomato juice. Again, along with organic beans, potatoes, spinach and whole grains. Dan and I also love dried cranberries.
Vitamin B-12 supports the formation of new red blood cells and is only found in animal foods. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, you will likely need to take a vitamin B-12 supplement for this reason. It is found in eggs, meat, chicken, shellfish and milk products. Along with this we do take supplements.
Antioxidants are present in many foods, and they fight the free radical damage that occurs through exposure to environmental toxins and a poor diet, both of which damage cells and increase the risk of health problems that include cancer and heart disease. Fruits and vegetables are a good source of antioxidants, and a diet rich in them is associated with a lower incidence of these diseases. Other good sources include dark chocolate, red wine, beans, whole grains and fish.
A well-balanced meal plan offers a good dose of antioxidants to support healthy cells in all parts of your body.
Qigong for Vitality: Opening the Door of Life
This short and dynamic Qigong Flow routine focuses on opening the door of life, called the Ming Men in Chinese.
As I continue to be re-reading my book that I wrote four years ago; it’s a personal journey of my everyday experience with treatments that I received in Mexico. In relations to the current series of BELIEVING, entry 10-20-12; GLOOMY AND LAZY DAY (FOURTH DAY)
Today the weather turned out to be gloomy--no sun. Our breakfast came around 8:00, and what a surprise, waffles with fruit and some kind of almond butter spread. After that Dan took a warm shower, to wake him up and get ready for the day. Then he had the nurse come in to clean his port and redress it.
As the morning began, we decided to go for a walk near the café and get hot tea. We sit outside and read below the sun, but today we ended up in the café due to the weather being cold.
After a while we went back up to the room to eat lunch. It was a Caesar salad with chicken.
In the beginning of the afternoon, we meditated. Here is what we were listening to:
While we were meditating, the psychologist came in to speak to Dan regarding positive mental attitude and how to manage his stress levels. She gave us good advice about how we can live in the future with issues due to our conditions. We had given her an earful about what we learned throughout the year about how to manage ourselves from the chemicals and how the health care industry is handling the whole cancer thing. The session was an hour long when all was said and done.
When she left, I asked Dan if he wanted to walk across the street, for there was a movie theater and stores. We decided to stroll on the sidewalk for a block or two and then come back to see what was playing. Of course, it was in Spanish!
Once we went back up to the room, the nurse came in to hook him up to more vitamins and minerals. This took half an hour, and then it was time for him to receive his ozone treatments (he will have five in all). This procedure started with the doctor putting pure oxygen in a syringe that was mixed for fifteen minutes with some of Dan’s blood from the port and syringed back into him.
You see, cancer does not like oxygen.
OZONE TREATMENT
Well, it’s time for dinner and I am hungry. Tomorrow is another day and more IVs.

This would be great for Sunday; Mother’s Day dinner.
Until Sunday, our thoughts are always true to our feelings. We and only we know for certain what they are. Before they become words, they may turn into what we think others would like to hear, but our thoughts do not change. Others can assume only that our words are our thoughts, and they will react and respond to our words alone. This is why it’s so important to always speak true to your thoughts. Others may not approve of or agree with what you say. Speaking your truth takes courage, but it is essential to relationships built on honesty and trust.
