Happiness is really nothing more than freedom.

Hello followers,

Good morning, Thursday, the first thing that came into mind this morning was Easter is on its way.

And this tune came to mind as I remember singing it when I was a child and when our daughter was small.

Here comes Peter Cottontail

Hopping' down the bunny trail'

Hippity hopping', Easter's on its way.

Bringing' every girl and boy

Baskets full of Easter joy

Things to make your Easter bright and gay.

He has jellybeans for Tommy.

Colored eggs for sister Sue

There is an orchid for your mommy.

And an Easter bonnet too

Oh! here comes Peter Cottontail

Hopping' down the bunny trail

Hippity hoppity, happy Easter Day

Try to do the things you should.

Maybe if you are extra good.

He will roll lots of Easter eggs your way.

You will wake up on Easter morning.'

And you'll know that he was there?

When you find those chocolate bunnies

That he is hiding everywhere.

Those were the days.

Dan and I have been focused on how words matter to our health.

This is one component that we forget and is far from our minds regarding a healthy lifestyle.

Words matter!

Research has found that the choice of words can cause specific areas of the brain to activate and can affect a person’s subjective experience of pain.

People use word associations to perceive neutral events as positive or negative.

Words can hurt, but they may also heal.

Encouragement can improve performance on exercise tests and may improve health outcomes.

If you are experiencing harmful, negative words, remember that it is not your fault.

This week we will continue over from last week on how words affect our health.

So, let us start with the word – HAPPINESS.

Happiness is really nothing more than freedom.

The freedom to love.

To be yourself.

And to live without fear of change.

There are times when happiness might be incredibly difficult.

Physical pain and mental and emotional challenges can be all but overwhelming.

But even in those times, finding just a moment of peace can provide the strength to carry on.

Our attention spans may have been caught up in the pressures of chasing the faster, the bigger, the more, and the new.

But our souls have known all along that the achievement of any of those things brings only temporary satisfaction before the race begins again.

They do not bring happiness.

Happiness is found in looking at what you have right here, right now, and feeling at peace and appreciative of it all.

Striving to improve is an excellent pursuit as long as it does not take way from the fulfillment of the present moment.

Those who find happiness at every step would not have a need for any top.

Those who will be happy only at the top will only seek a new top once they arrive there.

Wake up and be amazing.

Keep dreaming.

Do not be afraid to love.

It is what we are all here for.

Do what is in your heart and you will not have nearly as many regrets.

Have the courage to disappoint people if it means being honest, because they value your honesty more than your half-hearted approval.

Things will not always be fair or right but act as if you were a billion people and have faith that the good you do matters.

Every little light brightens up the world, and the only one you can ever shine is your own.

Shine bright, do right, love on.

As Dan and I start a new year; we will be posting daily 365 morning meditations for joyful days all year long.

The book is SUNRISE GRATITUDE by Emily Silva.

APRIL 6th

ON SOME MORNINGS IT IS HARDER than on others to be motivated.

So many factors can keep us from feeling our best, for instance, the lack of sleep.

Be gentle with yourself and know that it is okay to feel off from time to time.

Do not think of yourself as wrong for a lack of motivation.

Instead, zero in on why you do not feel motivated, and try to work from there.

Find one thing you can do to change your energy.

Even a small effort is progress.

PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, Tai Chi, and Qigong.

Dan and I have started back bouncing and walking to Walk at Home YouTube.

It is always important to change your routine around you but continue keeping a healthy lifestyle.

For us, that may be walking through a park, walking in a mall, or going to the gym and just staying home, bouncing, and walking to Walk at Home with YouTube.

This also includes daily meditation and twice a week Tai Chi.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

Until Friday, it takes a while to figure out who you are,

what you need and want,

and what you do not.

Up to two-thirds of life is spent just figuring out these basic things.

Because of the time invested in that process,

the last third of your life will be ridiculously amazing.

Life has only just begun. Live it to the fullest.
