CONTINUING THIS WEEK ON HAPPINESS AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello Followers,

How has it gone from January to November so fast?

Before you know it, a new year will start!

Time does not stop; it keeps on ticking.

For me and Dan, I can say that, we make the most of each second by exploring what God has given to us.

Living here in Virginia with the parks, history, and breathtaking scenery’s; we just keep on ticking with the time.

As time gets near to Thanksgiving, it's time to reflect on the things you're most grateful and how important it is to express your gratitude.

So, I thought until then, each day I can post one grateful saying.

Today’s is, give thanks not just on Thanksgiving Day, but every day of your life.

Appreciate and never take for granted all that you have.

101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.

Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.

That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.

CHAPTER 1; HAPPILY, YOURSELF

We’re happiest when fully ourselves.

This means two things; resisting peer pressure, which pushes us toward conformity, and dealing with any confidence issues stemming from low self-esteem.

Encouraging your true self to emerge and flourish is a letting go; of self-criticism, of low expectations of habits of avoidance and self-protection.

That will open the way for discovering your true potential.

Self-love may sound narcissistic, but in fact is precisely what’s needed to give due thought to your own well-being.

Valuing yourself is the starting point to finding the true value of everything that makes a life worthwhile.

PEARLS DO NOT LIE ON THE SEASHORE. IF YOU DESIRE ONE YOU MUST DIVE FOR IT.

Tomorrow, Build Confidence-

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

HAPPINESS

Changing our lives takes work.

It takes courage, patience, persistence, and the strength to continue to be positive about those changes no matter how slow they may appear to be going.

But it’s worth it.

The energy of change builds up and can be used to do this.

Unfortunately, that courage thing can easily prevent people from going forward.

What doesn’t take courage is to look at someone else’s life and pick out all their perceived flaws and criticize them at random.

Maybe this is why people do that so often instead of working on their own lives.

You don’t have to be the same.

Use your energy to better your own life and keep your attention on it.

If you’re being criticized by someone or even by a few people, don’t waste too much energy trying to explain things to them or defend your choices or fill them in on all they don’t know.

You need all your energy to continue working on yourself.

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

LEFTY LORE

Some say seeing the new moon over your left shoulder will bring good luck.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

20 PICTURES - ENJOY THE SLIDE SHOW

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 9 – LET THE PAST GO

Today continuing on, WHAT CAN YOU DO?

To stop the longing for what does not exit in screwed-up relationships, or to heal relationships that are beginning to skew; one must untangle from the emotions that swirl around or off a particular relationship.

That process is called detachment.

It basically means that you separate emotionally from the person around which your emotions swirl, in order to work on yourself, live your own life, feel your own feelings, and solve your own problems.

Detachment is the goal of most recovery programs.

Screwed-up relationships, like the screws in construction; are sometimes hopelessly entangled.

Detachment separates you from the board into which you are screwed.

Continue tomorrow-

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ELDER. It’s amazing what and how elder can help keep your body healthy?

Elderflowers can be made into a delicious tea that has broad health benefits.

The resulting brews are high in phenols and other antioxidants that can protect against excess inflammation.

Consider drinking elderflower tea regularly to promote eye health, cardiovascular health, and respiratory health, and to protect other systems prone to inflammation.

The infusion is useful, and receives somewhat extensive employment, as a wash, in weakness of the eyes, dimness of vision, and twitching’s of the eyelids. - John G. Hatfield, Botanic Pharmacopoeia, 1886

Other uses for elderflowers include infused oil being used for ear infections.

In vitro studies have shown elderflower tea as a mouthwash to be effective against periodontal pathogens like gingivitis.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Dan and I walked to the store, for we needed some items for our dinner; Taco bowl.

Thinking about our friends in Mexico.
