Here men endured that a nation might live.

Hello followers,

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

SPECIAL EDITION -

Memorial Day is the beginning of the summer season with barbecues, beaches and the first sunburn of the season.

The holiday is truly a day for mourning and honoring the military members who have fought and died for our freedom.

Let us take a few moments of silence in honor of the soldiers that lives were taken for freedom.

Living in Virginia these past few years, Dan and I have learned just what freedom is all about and how the Civil War played so much in today’s world.

Check out some of our experiences on the page How Safe Is Mexico -

In capturing Mexico, I realized that all the warnings from the USA to go to Mexico was not true.

Mexico, just like the United States has different climates and as well crime in different places.

So, when they stated that Mexico was unsafe, that was not all true.

We live in a world that has good and evil; you just must know what areas are good.

Just like when we decided to move back to the states, Virginia; Roanoke area suited our needs and is right at the entrance of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The past three years, I have been posting areas that Dan and I have visited and thought how many of us know just what took place back during the Civil War.

Dan and I have decided to dedicate the rest of this year with our experiences and knowledge of the Civil War, through museums and to the countryside where many soldiers died to give us freedom in America.

Let us not ever forget what took place and why it happened in the first place.

And I welcome you to visit Mexico, the Guadalajara area, and Virginia if you have not yet done so.

Both places have so much history that date way, way back.

Continuing with a town near where Dan and I live, Salem.

On January 8, 1815, one of Salem’s most unusual businesses; the Upper Roanoke Navigation Company was chartered with the intention of making the Roanoke River navigable for cargo-bearing boats from Salem through North Carolina and on toward the Albemarle Sound.

Because roads were poor and travel was rough for horse-drawn wagons, the prospect of a canal system was a very exciting innovation.

Continuing as in the previous posts; 365 morning meditations for joyful days all year long.

The book is SUNRISE GRATITUDE by Emily Silva.

May 29th

AS THE TIDES CHANGE, taking parts of the Earth with them, the ocean remains the same.

The ocean is a powerful force, able to wear down cliffs into sand.

It is magnificent.

It is humble to stand on the shore of such a mighty force.

It is powerful to comprehend that out past the horizon, the ocean continues for thousands of miles.

The ocean reminds us that nothing is permanent, and all things eventually wash away.

PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, Tai Chi, and Qigong.

Dan and I have started back bouncing and walking to Walk at Home YouTube.

It is always important to change your routine around you but continue keeping a healthy lifestyle.

For us, that may be walking through a park, walking in a mall, or going to the gym and just staying home, bouncing, and walking to Walk at Home with YouTube.

This also includes daily meditation and twice a week Tai Chi.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

Until Tuesday, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” —John F. Kennedy
