How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.

STARTING ON A SERIES OF QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

Hello Followers,

Today I’m starting a new series of quotes about living. You can live an authentic life! Happiness is not a destination.

It’s a mindful choice you make each moment, every day, to take pleasure in living a life of purpose.

“Finding your purpose” is more than just a cliché or a dream that will never be fulfilled. It’s actually a tool for a better, happier, healthier life that too few people attempt to use.

Only around 25% of American adults cite having a clear sense of purpose about what makes their lives meaningful. According to one analysis of the subject in The New York Times, 1 while 40% either claim neutrality on the subject, or say they don't.

Finding your purpose isn’t something that can be done in a few days, weeks or months. It can be a lifelong journey, and it can only be done one step at a time.

You also might find that your purpose changes over time. Keep in mind your purpose doesn’t necessarily mean you have to change what you’re doing already.

This may sound easy, but everyone’s life is filled with suffering or struggle and it can be hard to let go of the past.

You are here to love and learn, and at those two things you have always succeeded.

Like gravity, karma is so basic we often don’t even notice it.

LOVE YOUR LIMITS

With most people owning a smartphone, it’s all too easy to use it for everything, from shopping and messaging to catching up on news and social media. How often have you settled down in front of the TV to find yourself double-screening with your phone too?

Set yourself some limits. Try not to switch your phone on until nine a.m. and make sure it’s turned off after eight p.m. Putting a few boundaries in place will make you more aware of how and when you use your phone; and how good it feels when you don’t.

Karma is a good judge of character.

As I continue to be re-reading my book that I wrote four years ago; it’s a personal journey of my everyday experience with treatments that I received in Mexico. In relations to the current series of QUOTES ABOUT LIVING, 3-21-12; MY LIFESTYLE CHANGE – CHANGE YOUR MIND, CHANGE YOUR LIFE, CHANGE YOUR HEALTH.

Like everyone else, before I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I ate what looked good and was available to me in the supermarket. Through my amazing doctors in Mexico, I learned not only how to control my cancer but how to change my lifestyle and make a healthier me. I am humbled to be able to speak my mind and show my challenges that I have faced.

This article you may not agree on, but just humor me for a bit. I felt compelled to write on the subject of food for it will be the death of us if we do not do something about it. Through my experience and research, I have found that it is true what we put in our bodies is what we become.

It's a big problem when you are in the hospital and being treated for cancer or any other disease and the nutritionist comes into your room and states that there is no diet and you can eat whatever you have been eating all along. What do they know about what you have eaten in the past! I know a lot of you think this is garbage and are not going to have an open mind, but that's alright because you will experience sometime in your life some health issues and this article my come back to you.

TO ACCOMPLISH GREAT THINGS

It starts with our creator, for our bodies were created for certain things to be digested. If this is not so, then why are there things that we eat that are poison to us and we die. It’s like Adam and Eve, when Eve took a bite of the forbidden apple. Just like GOD created certain things for us to eat and man altered it by making processed foods and trying to make cows and livestock bigger with adding hormones to enter our bodies. We even have tried to alter the vegetables by lab studies to make them larger, I do not think that our creator intended for us to change what he created.

If you look back in history, you can see that our ancestors just lived fine with the sheep and live stocks eating grass and no other food. The vegetables were grown with the soil from the earth without any other substances added to it. So, you see; it is only fair to say that if it worked in the past why are we changing it if it is harming us.

We need to research and see for ourselves what America is doing to themselves. The internet is a great place to start and google is a great source to find anything and everything.

I know that we all come into this world and will exit it someday, but why do we have to exit without a choice. We deserve to choose and provide our lives with the quality that we were created for. Today; you can start by stop using the chemicals in cleaning products and check out the foods you are eating and read what it is made of. If you cannot pronounce the words, you should not purchase it.

Again, you need to have an open mind to go forward with a healthy and better quality of life that you deserve. Your system will work like it was created for and this will keep you from disease.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. This sounds good! How about a recipe of LAVENDER AND ORANGE CUSTARD?

This is a simple yet delicious custard that pairs the relaxing flavor of lavender with the bright citrus flavor of orange. This is a great dessert to make a day ahead for a stress-free dinner party. If you don’t have access to vanilla bean powder, substitute 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Ingredients:

2 cups whole milk (Dan and I substitute with oatmeal milk or almond milk)

1 tablespoon dried lavender flowers

4 eggs

1/3 cup of honey

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla bean powder

1 teaspoon organic orange extract

Instructions:

1. Add the milk and lavender to a saucepan and heat on medium-low until the milk starts to bubble about 10 minutes.

2. Turn off the heat and let the lavender infuse for another 10 minutes.

3. Strain out the lavender and let the milk cool for about 20 minutes.

4. While the milk is cooling preheat the oven to 350F.

5. In a separate bowl mix together the eggs, honey, salt, vanilla bean powder and orange extract until well combined. (Do not beat the eggs, you don’t want them to be fluffy.)

6. Once the milk has cooled, slowly add it to the egg’s mixture stirring constantly.

7. Fill five 6-once ramekins with the custard, and place them in a deep baking dish.

8. Pour hot water into the baking dish until the water reaches half way up the sides of the ramekins.

9. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.

10. The custard is done when it has just a very slight jiggle and the top shows some hints of darkness.

11. Remove from the oven, let cool completely.

12. Then store in the fridge overnight.

13. Serve cold.

Until Saturday, do good and good will follow you. Sometimes you have to walk away and let karma take over. You cannot control the results, only your actions. As long as karma exists, the world changes. There will always be karma to be taken care of.
