I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.

Hello followers,

Do you know what today is?

Yes, it is Hump Day!

And today is the day that Dan and I will explore two more theories of the illusion of control: personal involvement and optimism bias.

One important factor that contributes to the illusion of control is the degree to which people are personally involved in the situation.

The more likely a person will be affected by what happens, the more likely they are to believe that a good outcome was due to their actions.

People tend to have a natural bias toward positivity known as the optimism bias.

In general, people tend to overestimate the likelihood that good things will happen to them and underestimate the likelihood that bad things will occur.

This bias toward positivity may contribute to the illusion that people have more influence than they truly do.

This illusion may occur because people mistake random chance for skill.

However, people may also believe events are in their control of past events previously aligned with their desired outcomes.

As Dan and I start a new year; we will be posting daily 365 morning meditations for joyful days all year long.

The book is SUNRISE GRATITUDE by Emily Silva.

March 22nd

LOOKING BACK CAN BE a lovely process.

Reminiscing about special memories can bring joy and laughter.

But when we look back to remind someone of the suffering they have caused or to relive a painful memory, we are harming ourselves and potentially others.

Forgive the pain that is buried in the past.

Move forward from the wound.

Heal what needs to be healed and disconnect from your attachment to any residual pain.

Holding on constricts growth.

Choose to forgive as many times as you need to.

PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, Tai Chi, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

Before I end, it is my nephew’s birthday and Dan and I wanted to wish Miles a Happy Birthday.

We wish that all your dreams come true.

Until Thursday, letting go doesn’t mean that you don’t care about someone anymore.

It’s just realizing that the only person you really have control over is yourself.
