I would love to live like a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding.
Hello followers,
Are you ready to start a new week?
Happy Monday!
As Dan and I continue to post and share our experiences, we would like to thank you, the devoted viewers.
From the beginning Dan and I have been an open book, pouring out our ups and downs.
We even shared our experience living in another country, Mexico.
If you had asked me twelve years ago, would I leave my hometown of St. Petersburg; I would have said no!
For I was comfortable living in one area for fifty-three years, it was my comfort zone.
It took me to get cancer to even consider picking up and leaving my family and moving to Mexico.
Through pictures and my experiences, Dan and I shared Mexico with you the viewers and also is on the page How Safe Is Mexico - https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/how-safe-is-mexico
In capturing Mexico, I realized that all the warnings from the USA to go to Mexico was not true.
Mexico, just like the United States has different climates and as well crime in different places.
So, when they stated that Mexico was unsafe, that was not all true.
We live in a world that has good and evil; you just must know what areas are good.
Just like when we decided to move back to the states, Virginia; Roanoke area suited our needs and is right at the entrance of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
However, not knowing that it is the area where the Civil War took place.
Lots of history in Virginia, lots of cemeteries with rows of white crosses of the soldiers from the Civil War.
The past three years, I have been posting areas that Dan and I have visited and thought how many of us know just what took place back during the Civil War.
Dan and I have decided to dedicate the rest of this year with our experiences and knowledge of the Civil War, through museums and to the countryside where many soldiers died to give us freedom in America.
Let us not ever forget what took place and why it happened in the first place.
And I welcome you to go visit Mexico, the Guadalajara area, and Virginia if you have not yet done so.
Both places have so much history that date way, way back.
Let us start with a town near where Dan and I live, Salem.
Did you know that during 9000-1200 B.C., the Native Americans hunting parties crisscrossed Salem in search of deer, elk, bear, and buffalo.
After discovering they could cultivate some agricultural products, they began establishing semi-permanent hamlets.
Continuing as in the previous posts; 365 morning meditations for joyful days all year long.
The book is SUNRISE GRATITUDE by Emily Silva.
May 22nd
WHEN WE GO THROUGH A VALLEY, it can seem like everything around us is overwhelming and towering over our heads.
We may feel as if things are important and that we are at the bottom, with impossible heights to climb.
And yet, the valley has the most fertile ground, it is here that growth happens, and strength is renewed.
River’s glide through the valley and plants thrives.
Be like the river and know that you have the strength to reach the summit of the mountain.
PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.
We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, Tai Chi, and Qigong.
Dan and I have started back bouncing and walking to Walk at Home YouTube.
It is always important to change your routine around you but continue keeping a healthy lifestyle.
For us, that may be walking through a park, walking in a mall, or going to the gym and just staying home, bouncing, and walking to Walk at Home with YouTube.
This also includes daily meditation and twice a week Tai Chi.
If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.
Until Tuesday, life is like the river, sometimes it sweeps you gently along and
sometimes the rapids come out of nowhere.
FIRST COFFEE, THEN A NEW START OF THE WEEK.
HAVE A GREAT MONDAY.
