If You Don't Ask, You Don't Get.

Hello Followers,

Another day and another week - Happy Monday!

This morning I’m going to start out with a bang and quote you a Nora Roberts saying.

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer's always no.

If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place. Since it’s a new week, this saying could start you out thinking in the right direction. It made me think of all the times, I didn’t ask?

For asking others for what I wanted scared the wits out of me; because it forced me out of the box of my comfort zone and into the realm of uncertainty. This is where I felt absolutely out of control and was subject to the possibility of rejection.

Let's face it, nobody likes to be told "no." As a result, and because the fear of rejection is so strong, there was a tendency for me to sit back, lay low, stay quiet and stay stuck in my box. The key to me was when I found out I had cancer. If I did not go after what I wanted and ask the right people the questions, the answer would have been an automatic no to alternative methods.

Sometimes getting what we want is the scariest thing in the world, especially if we still doubt that we are worthy or deserving of it.

Remember asking for what we want is an art form, which requires three things; clear communication, high involvement and low attachment. In other words, it requires a delicate combination of being fearlessly articulate and highly involved in the manner and moment in which we make our request. With a very low attachment to the outcome, which includes not taking the rejection personally when it happens, it will happen from time to time.

I’m glad Dan and I asked questions and thought outside the box. So, now Dan and I step forward and ask the questions and if we get the answer of no; we don’t stop there. We research and find the answers and take control of our lives.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING – KARMA

No matter how much you regret or how angry or sad you may become, your yesterdays will never return. The world of should have, could have and if only would have is a world of pointless suffering.

Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

Did yo do your walking? I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!! Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on - https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditationh. Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it!

OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND

It sounds quite simple but start to put your phone where you can’t see it. If you’re meeting a friend for coffee or sitting down to lunch, don’t immediately put your phone on the table. Keep it hidden away in a bag or pocket to resist the temptation to check for messages. If you’re on your own, read a book or people; watch to re-engage with the world around you.

For the past month or so, I have been sharing some books with you. They have taught Dan and I not to stop believing; The joy of not missing out; Foods and remedies that heal - alchemy of herbs; Just started the Happiness in Your Life book series. Also; I have been sharing my book that I wrote four years ago; it’s a personal journey of my everyday experience with treatments that I received in Mexico.

Wealth, what is it? Many of us are wealthy in numerous ways although we simply do not recognize it. Enjoy the wealth you already have in your family and friends, in your health, in your freedom, in knowledge, and most importantly in yourself.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. Today I’m continuing along with the herb, MUSTARD.

Mustard seeds go beyond helping us with cold and flu symptoms. The small and humble mustard seed protects us against DNA damage and oxidative stress, thus offering us a powerful ally for preventing cancer and improving heart health. Tomorrow I will share a recipe for HOMEMADE MUSTARD.

IF YOU DON'T

Until Tuesday, remember - if you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer's always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place. Since it’s a new week, this saying could start you out thinking in the right direction. It made me think of all the times, I didn’t ask?
