In order to grow, you must learn to let go and strive toward something greater.

THIS WEEK WE ARE CONTINUING ON SERIES, SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE HERB – DANDELION.

Hello Followers,

Thank Goodness its FRIDAY!

What is everyone doing the first week-end in June?

The weather is nice and it’s still not too warm.

Also, the nights are cool, unlike July and August.

But June is also the seasonal equivalent to December in the Southern Hemisphere!

In the Northern Hemisphere, the beginning of the traditional astronomical summer is 21 June (meteorological summer begins on 1 June).

Continuing on the topic of SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF, DOING SOMETHING GREATER THAN YOURSELF; start some soul searching.

What are your hopes for your community?

How do you define community?

As your circle of family and friends or a group as large as your country or even humanity?

What sort of change or progress do you wish for this group?

Is there a problem this community faces that you are inspired to fix?

How can you make your world a better place?

It’s the third day of June, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about June that’s so significant during this month?

National Egg Day – June 3, 2022

National Egg Day on June 3 finds eggs finally breaking out of their shell.

Eggs had some tough years as health experts fretted about the high cholesterol content.

But after a revision of the American Heart Association’s guidelines in 2000, the health benefits of eggs seemed to outweigh the concerns.

AHA says healthy adults can enjoy an egg per day and easily remain within the daily cholesterol limit.

Also, a single egg has only 75 calories, which is great for those looking to lose weight.

And the seven grams of protein in an average egg almost makes this a superfood with a great calorie-to-protein ratio. So those of us who are big fans of poached, scrambled, over easy, hard-boiled, fried, sunny-side-up, or soft-boiled eggs can feel free to use National Egg Day to utter that timeless phrase, “How do you want your eggs?”

It doesn’t matter if it’s 7am, 7pm, or somewhere in between.

Eggs are great to eat anytime or any day, for that matter.

World Bicycle Day – June 3, 2022

For many of us, riding a bicycle without training wheels is the first challenging physical activity we ever learn how to master.

We all remember, don’t we?

A running start.

The protective hand secured to the bicycle seat is released.

And then — ZOOM! — the child is off and peddling, and a lifetime of adventure and freedom awaits aboard a succession of beloved two-wheeled conveyances.

In the spirit of that very first trip, let’s take a closer look at World Bicycle Day, June 3, shall we?

Getting your first bicycle and learning how to ride it is a rite of passage for almost all of us.

Despite the marks and scabs from falling from our bicycles while learning, it is a memory we always cherish.

Bicycling is quite a useful activity, in the hustle and bustle of today’s world; bicycling allows us to exercise our muscles, cut back on fuel consumption as it is quite a popular alternative to driving a car, and feel the wind in our hair.

Really, there is nothing quite like the exhilaration of riding a bicycle.

World Bicycle Day acknowledges this and the durability and longevity of the bicycle.

Providing a simple and sustainable means of transportation, bicycling is rejuvenating for our physical- and mental health, and good for the economy, and the environment.

The United Nations established World Bicycle Day for many reasons.

As basic as it is, the impact of the bicycle on society is quite transformative, even the poorest people get access to basic transport with the bicycle.

So, this week-end go out on your bicycle and let the wind blow through your hair!

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, IN ALL YOU CAN DO AND FOR YOU, THE DEALS WILL START TO WORK IN YOUR FAVOR. YOU NEED TO BE OPEN TO SUCH DEALS, AND THEY WILL COME, I ASSURE YOU.

Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.

Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.

Chapter 16; IS DIFFERENT SCREWED UP?

So, what should we do when those close to us are different and those differences drive us crazy?

DIFFERENT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE WRONG-

Reality checks are helpful to stop your criticizing what is different within your intimate and close circles.

They balance your thoughts and emotions so that you can determine whether an approach, expression, or view is wrong and potentially hurtful or just different from mine.

It keeps you from seeing different as threatening or a personal attack.

It helps you appreciate different as a way to expand your horizons and not an obstacle in your course.

Writing behavior needs to be recognized and, if possible; changed.

Different simply needs to be acknowledged and appreciated.

We shouldn’t try to change someone just because they are different.

This is the spot that Dan and I have been posting, on the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs.

This week Dan and I have been blogging on the herb; DANDELION and the benefits.

It’s amazing what and how dandelion can help keep your body healthy?

The applications for skin infections have already been well-covered in prior posts, but what you might not know is that dandelions can actually boost your overall skin health as well.

It does this in quite a few ways.

The ABCD vitamins (yes, did that on purpose) that dandelions contain has been known to boost skin health.

Remember all the vitamin K that we talked about prior on?

Well, that 5x dose will actually boost your skin health too!

They can also prevent inflammation in the skin which is imperative to keeping it healthy.

The detoxifying nature of dandelions also helps them flush out toxins from your skin.

They also prevent the damage that free radicals may cause to your skin cells due to the high antioxidant content.

If you prefer, you can even apply it topically rather than drinking the dandelions.

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

LET GO

In order to grow, you must learn to let go and strive toward something greater. #inorder#grow#mustlearn#learn#toletgo#strive#towardsomething#greater

Until Saturday, one cannot lead a life that is truly excellent without feeling that one belongs to something greater and more permanent than oneself.
