It is not stress that kills us, it is our reaction to it.

TODAY CONTINUING ON SERIES, WHEN YOU’RE TOTALLY STRESSED OUT? PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY. ALSO, CANCER: CIVILIZATION’S -NO. 2 KILLER?????

Hello followers,

Nothing ruins a Friday like realizing it is Thursday.

Yes, it is Thursday!

Thursday is like the second child no one pays attention to.

It is not the troublemaker like Monday or the favorite kid like Friday.

Instead, Thursday is a humble achiever that gets things done.

If your Thursday is productive, you will spend your Friday more at ease.

And in a blink, the weekend is here.

Thursday is the time for yourself.

After the gruesome three days of working, a night relaxing at home will recharge you for the next day.

That is why Thursday can be the most important day of the week.

It is the time to take a breath and get your life and work organized.

So, are you ready for an amazing Thursday?

Let us continue with the sixth benefit of self-care when stress about a major life change takes over your life.

It allows you to embrace peace and positivity.

We live in a very noisy world.

Life events that knock us off our foundation require us to listen to all that noise from a different and weakened vantage point.

Turning the chaos into calm can be a challenge.

Allow yourself to find some peace and think more positively about your circumstance.

You may find peace in a place, a sanctuary, the beach, a mountain top, your own backyard, or prayer closet.

Peace may come from sitting quietly, without interruption, and digging deep so you can soothe your heart and soul.

It is not important where you find peace, but that you do.

There is just so much a human spirit can bear without cracking under the pressure.

Find your release.

And when you do, speak kind words to yourself, about yourself, and about others.

Take the negative thoughts, which will inevitably shout in your ear, and replace them with their positive counterparts.

The brain is a wonderful thing, make it work in your favor so you can feel this benefit of self-care to its fullest.

Tomorrow, the seventh benefit of self-care when stress about a major life change takes over your life.

NOVEMBER 10th, Dan, and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about November that is so significant during this month?

Sesame Street Day – November 10, 2022

Dan and I chose this holiday in honor of our grandchildren, Jonah and Violet.

This November 10th is Sesame Street Day!

Did you know that Sesame Street is the most widely viewed kids’ show in the world?

Though initially meant to simply be fun and educational, the show has evolved into an international cultural phenomenon.

Let us use this day to spell out our love for this unforgettable program!

The seed of the idea that would become Sesame Street was first planted in talks between the television producer Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett, the vice president of the Carnegie Foundation.

During these conversations, Cooney spoke about her desire to leverage the ability of television shows to capture and keep children’s attention with the promotion of positive social values.

Following a period of extensive creative and scientific development, the show we all now know, and love would begin to take shape.

It was decided that Sesame Street would rely greatly on research processes to better inform various aspects of the program, spanning across the introduction of new characters, plotlines, and production design.

This strategy would prove to be not only innovative, but wildly successful as well; Sesame Street would premiere on November 10th, 1969, as an immediate sensation.

The show would dominate the cultural terrain of children’s television in the ensuing decades.

As its audience grew, so did its capacity and willingness to address increasingly complicated social, emotional, and ethical issues.

Though not without some instances of controversy, Sesame Street has remained a pillar of constructive, educational programming with a unique ability to appeal to children and adults alike.

However, as the general media landscape has experienced exponential growth in the 21st century, the show has in turn found itself faced with stiffer competition by other children’s television productions.

As a result, Sesame Street no longer commands the same authority as in past decades, and it has even faced its fair share of financial troubles.

Still, it is hard to imagine a world where children (and grown-ups) everywhere do not carry fond memories of days spent learning and laughing with the whole gang on Sesame Street.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

THE HOME SHOULD BE THE TREASURE CHEST IF LIVING.

Today Dan and I will be continuing the book, Ten-Minute Relaxation, For Mind and Body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

As I ponder over all that I have learned, I have come to find that we all have our own blueprint.

Our bodies are precious and there are many components in taking care of them.

Throughout the blog, Dan and I have related the separate ways through body, heart, and soul.

It is all about power of knowledge and learning to take care of yourself, keeping your cells happy.

Our immune system is one of the key factors in keeping healthy.

It is important to know how it works!

Cancer: Civilization's - No. 2 Killer

Continuing today on Important--Note Well,

However, bearing in mind the acid-producing effects of excessive consumption of grains and other high-protein vegetables, we can explain the apparent anomaly.

As Nathan Pritikin had already demonstrated before the MRFIT trial began, the only way to achieve such big reductions in blood cholesterol is to eliminate almost entirely from the diet all cholesterol-containing foods and in their place substitute cholesterol-free foods such as grain products, lentils, vegetables, and fruit.

This diet works wonderfully to lower cholesterol and to improve circulation, but because too little fruit is eaten and because vegetables are eaten mostly cooked and are less satisfying, and because grain products and lentils are not limited and are satisfying, it is the grain products and lentils that are consumed in excessive quantities capable of producing acid toxemia, despite the fact constipation may no longer exist.

Pritikin advised the intake of copious quantities of raw salad to offset the acid formed from the grains, but it is a fact that most people just do not like eating a lot of salad and would rather stuff themselves with rice, oats, or spaghetti, all of them acid forming.
