It's not happiness that brings us gratitude. It's gratitude that brings us happiness.

SERIES ON BELIEVING

Hello to Tuesday all,

An attitude of gratitude. This is not only a great rhyme but a great way to live. Dan and I wake up each day with a grateful heart. You should always be grateful for the things you have. Thankful for everything – big and small – that fill your life and make it special.

With the hustle and bustle of modern-day life, too many people get it backward. They decide they will be grateful when they get a promotion, a new job, a home, a new car, a raise, gifts, or other tangible things from people they know. However, this is backward. If you want to gain more success and/or more happiness, then the first step is to be grateful for the many things you have.

Only after you build an “attitude of gratitude” can you begin to grow (and build on) your happiness or achieve a measurable level of success (that does not feel empty).

Today, I choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills my heart, the peace that rests within my spirit, and the voice of hope that says all things are possible.”— Anonymous

PURIFIED BY GRATITUDE

Joy is a heart full and a mind purified by gratitude. #joy#heart#mind#purified#gratitude

Keep Believing in Yourself and Your Dreams

Every goal has ever been reached began with just one step and the belief that it could be attained.

Dreams really can come true, but they are most often the result of hard work, determination and persistence.

When the end of the journey seems impossible to reach, all you need to do is take one more step.

Stay focused on your goal and remember that each small step will bring you a little closer.

When the road becomes hard to travel and it feels as if you’ll never reach end.

Look deep inside your heart and you will find strength you never knew you had.

TAKE THE TIME

Dreams can come true if you take the time to think about what you want in life. #dreams#life#inspiration#motivational

Connect with yourself

Often, we do something; it’s because we feel we have to. For example, attending a birthday with friends for drinks, going for a team pizza after work or for a family lunch. But what would you truly do if you weren’t worried about missing out or what people might think of your absence? Take a moment to check in with how you really want to spend your time.

Tuesday Morning Meditation - Positive Affirmations

Welcome to the guided meditation series!

Meditation has been a tried and tested way of promoting mental health, improving concentration and focus. For many, it is a lifelong practice in a quest for reaching and restoring our inner equilibrium. For others, this is an alternate to other conventional methods of self-improvement.

It is my hope to provide all of you with strategies to guide your practice on your path to realize any or all of these goals. These strategies include but are not limited to breathing exercises, practice of stillness and guided paths to increase mindfulness and improved concentration.

Yesterday, the weather in Virginia was 81 degrees and it was gorgeous outside. Dan and I took the time to stroll around our neighborhood and walked 3 miles. I downloaded this app on my phone – health tracker, which even reads not only the miles; but the steps.

When ever we do not have the time or the weather is poor outside, we turn to the video’s on YOUTUBE

Never be afraid to sit a while and think. By Lorraine Hansberry

Until tomorrow, the root of joy is gratefulness. Things must be felt with the heart. What are you grateful for today?
