Hello followers,


Happy Hump Day! Hey man, today starts a new month, September.

It will not be long before fall starts, 22 days.

This is Dan’s and my favorite time of the year, for up in the Blue Ridge Mountains the leaves change all sorts of colors.

This year, since we have a car, it will be super, for we can take a long day trip through the mountains.


As posting on real power, I’ve been realizing more and more, we all have the power to choose and sustain our growth to a higher power within ourselves.


Real power is influence, and it increases as we offer more support to others.

Being powerful is more about giving support than getting support.


Contrary to what you may have thought about power, service is the highest form of leadership.


Serving others is a key to sustainable growth.


And it creates the kind of influence that truly powerful people wield, the kind that resonates and uplifts.

How many are you out there are left-handers?


I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.


It’s time to share some words from THE LEFT-HANDER’S HANDBOOK.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?


It could be that the only case where left-handers are in the majority is among gorillas.


Their left arms outweigh their right, which may indicate a slight left-handed bias.

But that’s only speculation.


As far as humans are concerned, there’s evidence that the very first member of the species was left-handed.


In the early days, as we know from cave drawings, there were plenty of right-handers; but there were plenty of left-handers too.

POWER


True power is shown by how many people one has helped in their lifetime; not how many one has hurt.

It takes power to drown the hopes of others, but it ends there.


Using that power instead to help others swim to shore will cause them to help others in turn because of you.


The world with you in it will be a slightly worse or slightly better place.


You, and only you; can determine your legacy.

THROUGH PICTURES

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

Today I will continue on – CHAPTER SIX; HEAL THE HIDDEN WOUND.

BROKEN BONES HEAL MORE EASILY THAN A SPIRIT THAT IS WOUNDED BY ABUSIVE WORDS OR ACTS.


The way we feel about ourselves, the way we treat others, or allow others to treat us; depends on what we have learned from our childhood experiences.


If you live with encouragement, you learn to be confident.


If you live with praise, you encourage others.


If you live with approval, you want to affirm.


If you live with recognition, you reach toward goals.


If you live with generosity, you learn to share.


If you live with honesty and fairness, you know what truth and justice are.


If you live with security, you have faith in yourself and in those around you.


If you live with friendliness, you learn that the world is a nice place in which to live.


If, on the other hand you live with the opposites, disapproval, ridicule, criticism, rejection, put-downs, selfishness, lies, injustice, cruelty, and harshness; you with-draw into fears, seek approval through treadmills of performance, feel like a failure or that approval is only temporary regardless of your performance, reject faith or flaunt it, grow greedy, bitter, commanding, controlling and/or disillusioned.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of THYME. It’s amazing what and how thyme can help keep your body healthy?

Since ancient times, thyme has been used as a popular herb for culinary purposes.


It is a delicate herb, with a strong fragrance.


And it was primarily due to its aromatic properties only that thyme was widely used in ancient Greece.


It was burned as incense in sacred temples.


Even ancient Egyptians made use of thyme for embalming.

It was also used as a symbol of courage in the ancient times.


During the medieval times, women used to present their knights with a scarf that had a sprig of thyme stuck over an embroidered bee.

Thyme oil has been used extensively for its antiseptic properties as well, since 16th century.


The leaves of thyme are curled and are in the shape of ellipse.


The upper leaf has green-grey color on the top, whereas the underside bears whitish color.

It grows well in sunny weather and well-drained soil.

Generally, it is planted during the spring season.

Thyme is mainly grown in Asia, Southern Europe, Mediterranean region and North America.

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.


As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.
