Let the beauty of what you love to be what you do.
RECAPPING THIS WEEKS POST ON, WHAT IS LIFE ABOUT AND WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE? AND WHY DO WE EXIST? PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.
Hello followers,
It is the first Sunday of October!
This month is most famous for its chocolate bars, pumpkins, and trick-or-treat.
It is an exciting time for exploring.
October is the tenth month in the calendar year.
It is known as being a month in fall in the Northern Hemisphere and a month of spring in the Southern Hemisphere.
October has 31 days in the month, Halloween is commonly celebrated on October 31st, also known as All Hallows Eve.
Breast Cancer Awareness is also the month of October, and Oktoberfest celebrations are held in this month depending on location.
It is also the month of Dan’s and my father’s birthdays.
Since my diagnosis in 2011, I have been expressing how important staying healthy and the after care of treating with functional medicine.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month, held in October every year, was created in 1985 to promote screening and prevention of the disease, which affects one in eight women in the United States every year and 2.3 million women worldwide.
Known best for its pink theme color, the month features several campaigns and programs; conducted by groups ranging from breast cancer advocacy organizations to local community organizations to major retailers, aimed-
1. Supporting people diagnosed with breast cancer, including metastatic breast cancer educating people about breast cancer risk factors.
2. Stressing the importance of regular screening, starting at age 40 or an age that is appropriate for your personal breast cancer risk.
Fundraising for breast cancer research.
Breast cancer awareness: Statistics
In 2022 in the United States, it is estimated that 43,780 people — 43,250 women and 530 men — are going to die from breast cancer.
According to the CDC, about 9% of all new cases of breast cancer in the U.S. are found in women younger than forty-five; breast cancer risk increases as women get older.
Black women are less likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer than white women but are 41% more likely to die from the disease.
About 170,000 people in the United States are living with metastatic breast cancer.
Several years ago, I wrote on this very blog in 2012 regarding BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH-
HONOR
As I glance through the pages of this year, I would like to take a few moments to honor the people that have been stricken with cancer.
Each one of us has had someone close or has known of someone that has had cancer.
Since I was a child, I had experienced this disease personally within my family and always wondered why.
I honor those people and because of what they had gone through I am sharing my knowledge of why and hope that we can take control in honor of them to change the outcome of many more dying.
I have been blessed by making a different choice; FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE and feel that the power of being has me to share this knowledge and treatments with you.
Please If you know anyone that is going through any kind of treatment have them read this blog so they can gain some knowledge of hope.
Please share this time with me and honor today the people that had past or going through cancer and let them know that they are either missed or loved and we are grateful that they are in our lives.
I miss my dad, but now know that through him I will spread this past year with all to give them hope that we can control cancer without suffering.
SHINE ON WITH THE HOPE THAT WE CAN.
So, let us continue the series, what is the meaning of life?
In combining our physical and mental functions, we can control our bodies and keep them healthy.
It took me a long time to realize this for myself.
Hopefully, this will help you, our followers.
The last two weeks we posted on, self-empowerment, self-control, renewable vitality, emotion mastery and conscious communication along with smart focus, learning & adaptability, and constructive thinking.
Simple Ways to Find Out What Life is About-
Today, we will explore the seventh one, Go Minimalist.
If you take small steps like avoiding purchasing unnecessary new things, storing seasonal items, and generally decluttering, you can ease into a minimalist mindset without much trouble.
Tomorrow Dan and I will explore the eighth one, Travel.
OCTOBER 2nd, Dan, and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about October that is so significant during this month?
National Produce Misting Day – October 2, 2022
National Produce Misting Day is observed each year on October 2 across the U.S.A.
This is the day to recognize the innovation of keeping fruits and vegetables fresh.
Misting innovations make sure that produce remains crisp, hydrated, and nutrient dense.
We all love fresh produce, and nothing tastes as nice as farm-fresh fruits and vegetables.
While not all of us have the privilege to eat directly from farms, well-misted produce is the only way to ensure that what we eat is always fresh and healthy.
Eating fresh produce is also the simplest way to ensure that your body is getting the best of nutrients.
Today we cannot imagine a supermarket without misting systems.
But before automatic misting systems were a thing, grocers had to throw away produce that would get stale or rotten easily.
This was especially common during the summer months.
Those in the business strongly discouraged the wastage of food, especially.
The first example of misting was grocers soaking burlap potato sacks in water.
These sacks were laid over the stocks overnight.
The wet sacks kept the fruits and vegetables from drying out and keep their fresh taste.
This technique also kept cheeses fresh and moist.
However, the task was tiring and labor-intensive.
Eventually, there was a need to build an automatic misting system.
In 1979, the first automatic misting system was developed.
This timely invention essentially revolutionized the grocery world and how we consume food.
Since misting is no longer a rigorous task, it is easy to find fruits and vegetables with extended shelf life.
Longer lives of fresh produce also meant that the transportation of it became easy and the consumer could now have more varieties of produce to buy at the grocery store.
Before the existence of automatic misting systems, exotic food was shipped in refrigerated trucks.
This kept the food fresh for a while, but long journeys over time reduced their shelf life and the produce would appear dry and unappealing.
Today, customers no longer must visit a specific location (like the farm) to buy their favorite food.
They can simply find it at a grocery store or order them online.
Simple technology, such as misting, ensures that we get to eat delicious and nutritious food every day.
Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.
Today is:
THE PRESENT MOMENT IS THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS, AND WHAT YOU ARE DOING RIGHT NOW IS AS DELIGHTFUL AS ANYTHING ELSE.
RECAPPING THIS WEEKS POST ON, WHAT IS LIFE ABOUT AND WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE? AND WHY DO WE EXIST? PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.
The best way to predict the future is to create it.
Every exit is an entry somewhere else.
1 effective way to evaluate your memory is to try to remember the things that worried you yesterday.
If the world is turning, we are going to be dizzy.
The squeaky wheel may get the most oil, but it is also the first to be replaced.
You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.
The mystery of human existence lies not in just staying alive, but in finding something to live for.
Today Dan and I will be continuing the book, Ten-Minute Relaxation, For Mind and Body by Jennie Harding.
Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.
This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.
Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!
Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.
By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.
CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY; TASTE-
MEDIEVAL MOOD FOODS-
Today, Dan and I are going to share one of Hildegard’s soothing recipes.
The next few days we are sharing three simple recipes based on Hildegard's ideas, which can be made quickly to soothe your digestion.
These particularly are helpful if you have been under severe emotional stress.
They take slightly more than ten minutes to prepare, but not much longer.
And will each make enough for one person.
Are you ready for the second recipe?
SIMPLE VEGETABLE SOUP-
Cooked vegetables: simple onions, carrots and cabbage were the staple diet in many people in the Middle Ages.
Hildegard regarded cooked vegetables as being particularly easy on the digestion, especially after stress or illness.
1. Wash, peel and chop a small onion, a large carrot and three savoy cabbage leaves into exceedingly small pieces.
2. In a small pan set over medium heat, put one teaspoon of sunflower oil.
3. Stir in the onion and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Then stir in the carrot pieces next.
5. Cook for 2 minutes.
6. Then the cabbage leaves.
7. Pour in ½ cup of water, bring to a boil.
8. Add a pinch of salt and pepper and simmer for 10 minutes.
9. ENJOY-
As I ponder over all that I have learned, I have come to find that we all have our own blueprint.
Our bodies are precious and there are many components in taking care of them.
Throughout the blog, Dan and I have related the separate ways through body, heart, and soul.
It is all about power of knowledge and learning to take care of yourself, keeping your cells happy.
Our immune system is one of the key factors in keeping healthy.
It is important to know how it works!
Germs and Viruses????
Continuing from yesterday, it was the constant observations of differently described microbes in the blood and tissues of cancer patients that eventually prompted the US National Institute of Health to launch a full-scale investigation as to whether cancer was virus caused, which investigation in the 1970s (President Nixon's War Against Cancer) showed that the so-called cancer virus was resultant to the disturbed body chemistry which precedes cancer and not the cause of it; a fact stated over the last hundred years by many distinguished cancer researchers.
That germs from outside the body can cause disease in susceptible people is not disputed.
There are many instances of epidemics so caused, such as the cholera epidemic of 1854 in Lambeth, London.
This is when water supplied by one street pump became contaminated by a cesspool, and many people using that pump came down with cholera.
While people nearby, using a different supply, suffered no cholera.
The epidemic stopped as soon as the pump was de-activated.

setting goals so that your vision is an expression of that purpose,
then life flows much more easily.
