Let your light shine. Be a source of strength and courage. Share your wisdom. Radiate love.
Hello followers,
HAPPY SUNDAY!
Tomorrow starts a new week and today is a great time to start the transition.
Today let us get ready for the period of change from one state or condition to another.
From the weekend to the work week, it can be a hard transition, but by getting up tomorrow slowly and by stretching; this will start your work week with a good mindset and letting your light shine.
It is important to recognize that you have within you such an invaluable light that allows it to shine which makes such a huge and positive impact.
Letting your light shine means being a beacon of hope, kindness, and love for other people.
Since it is Sunday, I am going to quote from the Bible, Matthew.
THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
You are the salt of the earth.
But if the salt has lost its flavor, what can make it salty again?
It is fit for nothing from then on but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot.
You are the light of the world.
A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Nor do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, where it gives light to all that are in the house.
Let your light shine before men, that they may see the good you do and glorify your Father in heaven.
So, tomorrow let your light shine!
RECAP OF THE WEEK
Give yourself a gift: the present moment.
Here men endured that a nation might live.
The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up.
Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship.
A new chapter begins.
Beauty is being in harmony with what you are.
You can only love when your heart is open.
Check out some of our experiences on the page How Safe Is Mexico -
In capturing Mexico, I realized that all the warnings from the USA to go to Mexico was not true.
Mexico, just like the United States has different climates and as well crime in different places.
So, when they stated that Mexico was unsafe, that was not all true.
We live in a world that has good and evil; you just must know what areas are good.
Just like when we decided to move back to the states, Virginia; Roanoke area suited our needs and is right at the entrance of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The past three years, I have been posting areas that Dan and I have visited and thought how many of us know just what took place back during the Civil War.
Dan and I have decided to dedicate the rest of this year with our experiences and knowledge of the Civil War, through museums and to the countryside where many soldiers died to give us freedom in America.
Let us not ever forget what took place and why it happened in the first place.
And I welcome you to visit Mexico, the Guadalajara area, and Virginia if you have not yet done so.
Both places have so much history that date way, way back.
Continuing with a town near where Dan and I live, Salem.
On May 24, 1847, classes began at Virginia Collegiate Institute, now called Roanoke College.
A wagon bearing all the school’s physical assets had arrived from Augusta County one month earlier.
And then March 20, 1950, the General Assembly enlarged Salem’s corporate limits to include two strips of land about one-hundred and twenty yards wide on either side of Main Street.
Continuing as in the previous posts; 365 morning meditations for joyful days all year long.
The book is SUNRISE GRATITUDE by Emily Silva.
June 4th
WHEN A CAT WAKES UP, it does so at a leisurely pace.
It takes the time to stretch its limbs and curl its back.
A cat is not in a hurry to wake up and do anything.
It revels in the rest it just awoke from.
Practice getting up slowly, stretching each limb.
Feel yourself gradually awaken as you send movement through your body.
The rest you just had was much needed.
Take your time to transition from it.
PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.
We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, Tai Chi, and Qigong.
Dan and I have started back bouncing and walking to Walk at Home YouTube.
It is always important to change your routine around you but continue keeping a healthy lifestyle.
For us, that may be walking through a park, walking in a mall, or going to the gym and just staying home, bouncing, and walking to Walk at Home with YouTube.
This also includes daily meditation and twice a week Tai Chi.
If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.
Until Monday, as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other
people permission to do the same.
