Life has no limitations; except the ones you make.
Hello Followers,
Dan and I cannot believe it is Thursday already.
How has your week been going?
What are your dreams?
We all have them.
We aspire to become better than we were before and strive to succeed in all aspects of our lives.
Sadly, there are times when our fear gets the best of us, and we end up getting stuck in the same place with no progress.
Are you stuck?
Are you one of the ones that think that you are only capable of achieving just this much?
That is precisely the problem.
We set limitations on our capabilities and thus hold ourselves back from moving to greater heights.
So, as we have been exploring words and how it effects our health, I welcome you to check out the past two weeks posts with words such as, time, faith, self-worth, happiness, encouragement, self-talk, optimism, karma, forgiveness, trust, appreciation, thoughts and words, power, rebuilding, passion, confidence, connection, transitioning, motivation, preparation, coping, laughter, and empowerment.
Today the word is limitations.
We are all subject to imperfections.
Life is filled with uncertainty and worries.
While many things remain outside your control, your mindset is key to coping with difficult circumstances and confidently facing the unknown and our limitations.
Uncertainty and limitations are all around us, never more so than today.
Whether it concerns the economy, or your finances, health, and relationships, much of what lies ahead in life remains uncertain.
Yet as human beings, we crave security.
We want to feel safe and have a sense of control over our lives and well-being.
Fear and uncertainty can leave you feeling stressed, anxious, and powerless over the direction of your life and creates limitations.
It can drain you emotionally and trap you in a downward spiral of endless what-ifs and worst-case scenarios about what tomorrow may bring.
We are all different in how much uncertainty and limitations we can tolerate in life.
Some people seem to enjoy taking risks and living unpredictable lives, while others find the randomness of life deeply distressing.
But all of us have a limit.
If you feel overwhelmed by uncertainty and worry, it is important to know that you are not alone; many of us are in the same boat.
It is also important to realize that no matter how helpless and hopeless you feel, there are steps you can take to better deal with uncontrollable circumstances and face the unknown with more confidence to meet your goals.
When circumstances are out of your control, it is easy to become overwhelmed by fear and negative emotions.
You may think that bottling up how you feel, trying to put on a brave face, or forcing yourself to be positive will provide the best outcome.
But denying or suppressing your emotions will only increase stress and anxiety and make you more vulnerable to depression or burnout.
When you can do nothing else about a situation, you can still actively face up to your emotions, even the most negative and fearful ones.
Allowing yourself to experience uncertainty in this way can help you reduce stress, better come to terms with your circumstances, and find a sense of peace as you deal with challenges.
What are the advantages of limitations?
What are the disadvantages?
Life can change in a moment, and it is filled with unexpected events and surprises.
But that is not always a bad thing.
For every unpleasant surprise, such as a serious medical diagnosis, there are good things that happen unexpectedly as well.
This could be a dream job offer, a surprise pay rise, or an unexpected phone call from an old friend.
Opportunity often arises from the unexpected and having to face uncertainty in life can also help you learn to adapt, overcome challenges, and increase your resiliency.
It can help you to grow as a person.
Does anyone have a job for life, a guarantee of good health, or absolute certainty over what tomorrow will bring?
No!
Behaviors such as worrying, micromanaging, and procrastinating offer the illusion of having some control over a situation, but what do they change in reality?
The truth is no matter how much you try to plan and prepare for every possible outcome, life will find a way of surprising you.
Life is full of limitations; it is what makes us human.
We are sure you have heard the saying go outside of your comfort zone, and while it may seem like something scary, it is not.
It just means doing things that are unfamiliar and uncertain.
Limitations are a fact of life.
We all have them, whether they be physical or mental.
But what exactly is the limitation?
In short, it is an obstacle that prevents you from achieving your goals.
Life is a series of limitations.
We are born with them, and we die with them.
As such, they should be embraced rather than feared.
Throughout Dan and my journey through cancer, we have learned that limitations showed us that through a difficult situation you can overcome.
Through knowledge, a good lifestyle, and a positive attitude you can face your fears.
As the year continues; we will be posting 365 morning meditations for joyful days all year long.
The book is SUNRISE GRATITUDE by Emily Silva.
APRIL 20TH
WHEN YOU FIND YOURSELF DISAPPOINTED, try to find something to be grateful for.
Life is full of opportunities to reframe negative emotions, and the more we practice finding the positive, the easier it will be to do this.
We can train our minds to be more positive because our minds are malleable.
Do not allow yourself to become stuck in a whirlwind of disappointment.
Pull yourself out of the spiral of negativity by finding the good in each situation.
PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.
We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, Tai Chi, and Qigong.
Dan and I have started back bouncing and walking to Walk at Home YouTube.
It is always important to change your routine around you but continue keeping a healthy lifestyle.

For us, that may be walking through a park, walking in a mall, or going to the gym and just staying home, bouncing, and walking to Walk at Home with YouTube.
This also includes daily meditation and twice a week Tai Chi.

Until Friday, the only real limitation on your abilities is the level of your desires.
