Life is full of happiness and tears; be strong and have faith.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON; FAITH AND LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello Followers,

It’s Monday!

That means a new beginning to a new week.

And we wish you the most blessed one ahead.

Dan and I together have faith which have taken on doubts and questions, but it always remains intact.

We have grown in faith, but our foundation has always been the same; to continue to unite, love, explore, learn, and share our experience with all of you.

Faith and belief are often used in the same context, sometimes interchangeably, but they are not quite the same thing.

Belief is a strongly held opinion about an idea or worldview.

Beliefs are also opinions that you form about what you read, hear, or see.

Beliefs can change over time, as you grow and learn new things.

Faith is not something you start and build from; faith can only be received.

True faith can take on doubts and questions, but it remains intact.

We can grow in our faith, but the foundation is always the same.

James 2:19 says, "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder."

OCT IS THE MONTH FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

HOPE

As I turn through the pages of my past year, I have gained spiritually as well as mentally and physically from the experiences of cancer.

I have gained a lot of knowledge through incredible top-rated people and through this sharing with others; the hope and comfort it brought me.

Cancer can be controlled, but you need to treat it with respect.

You need to know what you are dealing with and how to treat it daily.

Its learning how to reorganize what’s important to our bodies and lives we lead.

As I close the last chapter of this book, I will let you on a secret!

It’s your choice and you need to take control of the issue not leave it up to others to make the decisions for you.

I started with a program that enhanced the quality of my life by first changing the way I ate and drank.

I learned ways to meditate to release stress and made time to exercise.

It’s those important steps that maintain hope of never seeing cancer again.

We need to stand up to what is affecting us, the environment and face the final curtain by thinking outside the box and realizing what we are working with.

I will continue to manage my cancer and help any others that are going through it with the support of my heart.

I am a survivor of knowledge and not of cancer.

I will not let it control my body and mind.

Individually we are a drop, but together we can create an ocean, let’s start now ~ it’s your choice.

Courage is standing face to face with fear... and smiling at it!

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

It’s time to share some words from THE LEFT-HANDER’S HANDBOOK.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

The rational right-handed brain handles words.

It contains the basic speech centers and is highly verbal and adept at analytical and sequential thought.

The emotional left-handed brain thinks in pictures.

It understands three-dimensional space, music, tone of voice; but not words.

They are highly imaginative.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

FAITH

In something that’s done and can’t be changed, look only for the positives.

In something that’s current, look for the truth.

You can’t change your past, but you sure can change your future.

Look for what best serve both.

MY JOURNEY OF COMPLETION (Body, Heart and Soul) – Enjoy Life While Managing Cancer

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

25 PICTURES - ENJOY THE SLIDE SHOW

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Tomorrow I will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CONTROLLING THE CONTROL CENTER

TO STOP NEGATIVE THOUGHTS, LIFT THE NEEDLE ON YOUR MENTAL RECORD PLAYER.

The following suggestions may help you get a handle on your thoughts.

1. EXERCISE – exercise increases the hormone substances that stimulate the neurotransmitters; thus, increasing well-being, lowering stress and keeping the mind alert.

2. PRAISE YOURSELF – encouragement is crucial to well-being when handling irregular behavior.

3. MAKE GUILT PRODUCTIVE – healthy guilt is a tool, not a weapon; a lesson, not a flogging.

4. DISCERN – recognizing who owns the wrong behavior frees you from unnecessary anguish.

5. FIND A FRIEND OR MENTOR – objective listeners can shine light into the darkness.

6. DETERMINE YOUR COURSE – journeys go nowhere without direction.

7. KEEP A DAIRY OF PROGRESS – write down sunshine happenings.

8. ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOU – and your health

Continue tomorrow-

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of TURMERIC. It’s amazing what and how turmeric can help keep your body health

Did you know turmeric/curcumin has benefits against depression?

Curcumin has shown some promise in treating depression.

In a controlled trial, 60 people with depression were randomized into three.

One group took Prozac, another group took 1 gram of curcumin, and the third group took both Prozac and curcumin.

After 6 weeks, curcumin had led to improvements similar to those of Prozac.

The group that took both Prozac and curcumin fared best.

According to this small study, curcumin is as effective as an antidepressant.

Depression is also linked to reduced levels of BDNF and a shrinking hippocampus, a brain area with a role in learning and memory.

Curcumin can help boost BDNF levels, potentially reversing some of these changes.

There’s also some evidence that curcumin can boost the brain neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine.

Resulting to a study in 60 people with depression showed that curcumin was as effective as Prozac in alleviating symptoms of the condition.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while

managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

It's time to get our daily walk in.

What better place to do it in, Berglund Center for a craft festival.

Found some great unique items, animal puppets, glass bottle lights, children books, pop-up cards, ciders, coco's, jelly's, pottery, soaps and many more items.

Since tonight is the big Sunday night football, Buccaneers and the Patriots; I found this Christmas Buccaneer snowman to get in the spirit.

The bonus was walking indoors while able to enjoy talent.

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation

Faith In the Storm Meditation

Welcome to this 12-minute guided meditation on having faith in the storm.

This meditation is about letting go of fear that might feel like it has you, but it doesn’t.

Faith inside these circumstances, whatever it is that you find yourself in, is what we need right now.

If you want to really have more faith and allow yourself to let go of fear, this is the meditation for you.

To get the most out of this guided meditation on having more faith, we recommend that you find a quiet place where you can sit or lie down undisturbed for the next 12 minutes.

Place a sign on the door if necessary to let others know that you will be letting go of fear to avoid any unexpected interruptions.

Also, we suggest that you use headphones for optimal listening experience.

During this experience, Heather Hayward will guide you through some simple meditation techniques for having faith.

All you need to do is be physically comfortable and able to listen to the sound of her voice.

If you are lying down, placing a blanket across your stomach area can provide some added comfort and relief while using this guided meditation to have faith.

We hope you find the faith you are looking for during this guided meditation and look forward to creating more experiences for you soon.

Wishing you always more comfort, humor and inspiration.

Heather Hayward
