Live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find eternity in each moment.
STARTING A NEW SERIES ON EMBRACING THE PRESENT MOMENT AND CONTINUING ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO? BONUS, THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING.
Hello Followers,
It’s HUMP DAY!
Since Dan and my diagnoses with cancer, our journey started in Mexico with functional medicine treatments.
We didn’t realize the overwhelming knowledge we took back with us home.
Our doctors not only treated us, but also gave us our life back.
For through the wisdom, we received much more, we were told that it was up to us to continue an aftercare.
As I continue to post our knowledge, throughout our blog; I have shared not only the international treatments we received, but other important information that keeps our cells happy.
I have created different series, such as treatments that are done in the United States; provided from the Cancer Control Society convention.
Also, about the different brands and qualities of supplements that are on the market.
Other aftercare methods to keep our immune system strong includes; mediation, walking daily, karma, intuition, forgiveness, trust, appreciation, love, thoughts and words, power, time, faith, self-worth, happiness, believing in yourself, living successfully with screwed-up people.
I’ve been researching another component of keeping healthy; the six senses.
So, you see its much more then just treatments, it’s changing your lifestyle.
Living in the present moment is crucial to success but also by being aware of the here and now you will live a better life.
Many people allow their mind to dwell in the past or worry about the future and they forget to live now, enjoy the moment, be present, be appreciative and grateful for life.
In the present so that you may live your dreams.
101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.
Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.
That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.
CHAPTER 1; HAPPILY, YOURSELF
BALANCE PERSONAL NEEDS
Some deep needs are universal (comfort, love and so on); others are individual (for example, spending time in the mountains or stretching yourself creatively).
Finding a way to satisfy your needs may be complicated by your work and family lives.
It’s essential to communicate your requirements well and be prepared to compromise.
Contemplate the list of needs shown below and assess the relative importance of each this is your compass to steer by.
· Autonomy – independence, freedom, resources.
· Comfort- home, security, job.
· Connection- family, friends, intimacy.
· Understanding- learning, personal growth, education.
· Involvement-neighborhood, politics, volunteering.
· Recreation- exercise, leisure, interests.
· Creativity- talents, self-expression, home.
· Identity- values, responsibilities, self-worth.
THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING
Touch, taste, smell, sight, and sound can improve your well-being in all sorts of surprising ways.
Let’s talk about SMELL and how it effects our health.
Smell plays an important role in overall health.
“Smell is associated with neurodegeneration, heart disease, and early demise, among other problems,” says Richard Doty, a PhD smell researcher who directs the Smell and Taste Center at the University of Pennsylvania’s medical school.
Doty notes that multiple studies have shown that people whose sense of smell becomes heavily dulled over time are at a higher risk for those diseases.
In the case of Alzheimer’s, clumps of protein known as plaques that build up in the brains of people who suffer from the condition form in the part of the brain responsible for smell, possibly explaining the association.
Paying more attention to smell could provide a critical early tipoff to brewing problems.
A decline in your sense of smell is as good a predictor of Alzheimer’s as genetic tests, according to Doty.
To test how useful that relationship can be, in 2020, Doty will send 80,000 people a smell test he developed as part of a study funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
People whose results on the test indicate that they’re losing their sense of smell can be tagged for brain imaging and other advanced tests for neurodegeneration.
If the effort helps catch problems early; when diseases of the brain may be more treatable, promoting smell awareness could become a major public health initiative, says Doty.
How many are you out there are left-handers?
I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.
WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?
DID YOU KNOW?
Some researchers speculate that, in general; throwing may be an even more revealing indication of hand preference then writing.
It appears that natural left-handers are about twice as prevalent in the ballpark as they are in the general population.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?
THROUGH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S
Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.
OR
Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.
"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."
So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.
Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 9 – LET THE PAST GO
Today, ACCEPT YOUR REALITY
Detachment is both an action and an art.
You are fortunate if you had people in your life who helped you learn the art of detachment.
You are ahead in life’s game if special people showed you how to care in healthy ways and to let go, rather than hang on.
But even if you had no mentor, you can extricate your mind, body, emotions and spirit from the agony and longing that come with twisted relationships if you hold tightly to the lifeline that helps you accept your reality.
As you gain strength, you may be a mentor to someone else who is trying to make it through their personal minefields.
Continuing tomorrow –
This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ELDER. It’s amazing what and how elder can help keep your body healthy?
Elderberries assist cardiovascular protection.
There is a strong link between fruit and vegetable intake and cardiovascular health.
High fiber content in elderberries helps cut down excess cholesterol from your system to accommodate the good cholesterol your body needs, which can considerably lower your risk of developing atherosclerosis and similar cardiovascular problems.
Elderberries also have high potassium levels which can protect your heart by relaxing and calming the tension in the arteries and blood vessels.
Potassium is also a vasodilator and can considerably lower your blood pressure, keeping your heart safe and healthy.
NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth
THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.
As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).
I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!
Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!
Sometimes just going to the gym, makes all the difference.
Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation

Being in the "here and now," means that we are alive and aware of what is happening right now.
We are not disturbed by past ruminations or future worries but focused in the present moment.
“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford

Live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find eternity in each moment. #live#present#launch#yourself#every#wave#eternity#each#moment#inspirational#motivational
Until Thursday, to live in the present moment is a miracle. The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green earth in the present moment, to appreciate the peace and beauty that are available now.
