Its time to celebrate for the weekend is coming soon. We all deserve a little celebration, for making it through another week.

For the past two weeks, Dan and I have been blogging on love and how it affects our health.

Many studies have shown that a healthy and supportive relationship—be it romantic, familial, friendship, or otherwise can be linked to higher self-esteem, increased sense of self-worth, and improved self-confidence. Love, no matter what form it comes in, helps people incorporate safer behaviors into their everyday lives, reduces anxiety (worry, nervousness), and lowers the chance of developing depression or another form of mental illness.

Love is the greatest and most complex human emotion. While everyone experiences love differently, everyone has the capacity regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity and religion.


Love comes in many different forms and manifests in many ways throughout your life and relationships.


We avoid the things that we’re afraid of because we think there will be dire consequences if we confront them. But the truly dire consequences in our lives come from avoiding things that we need to learn about or discover.

This is why conditional love may not make or provide the grounds for a stable and desirable relationship at all. If your partner tries to control the way you dress, the way you act, and more importantly, the way you feel, this person wants you to live up to they’re ideal of you. That is, they love the you in their imagination and not the real you. Accepting you truly is what unconditional love means.


That being said, this is no excuse to exhibit negative behaviors and attitudes or hurt and disrespect your partner whilst expecting them to still accept and love you unconditionally.

Conditional love is a fabric that is threaded with passion. Thus, when this passion is exhausted, ashes of hatred often take its place. Passion and hatred are like fire and ice. This is why when someone whom we hold such passion does something that changes our ideology of them, such passion can flip into hatred. Hence, why you see that a lot of people go from being in happy, bubbly relationships to hating the sight of their exes.

You don’t have to know someone to love them.


You don’t even have to be in a relationship with someone to love them.


Every single person you see, even total strangers; are worthy of love.


They were once a tiny infant with an entire lifetime of promises ahead.


Where they are today depends on what has happened to them since. They may be destitute and living on the street.

Love them for their determination to carry on each day regardless of having very little reason to do so. Or they could be a tyrant of a boss driven by money and achievement.


Love them and hope they achieve more and more, because eventually they’ll realize it never really mattered and will see how much life has passed them by in their pursuits. But by then it will be too late to go back, and all the things that could have mattered will be gone or will have moved on

Send them a silent thought of love because one day they will need it.

In every meeting and every goodbye, silently think; I love you – to each person.


They won’t hear it; but they will feel it, and you will feel at peace and connected more than you could imagine.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

WITH PICTURES

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

Today Dan and I will be continuing to post CHAPTER THREE – WHO IS SCREWED UP?


STOPPING THE MARCH


Today Dan and I will be posting on relationships that lack an iron-will determination to hang together.

Like the Roman bridges, it may appear to be upright and secure; until they are put under heavy pressure or under the drip of years of negative interchanges.


Years of misuse and abuse make a relationship fragile and vulnerable.


Be assured if anger and resentment lie in your bed this may wake with you in the morning and move with you through the day; you are putting pressure on your relationship that may cause it to crumble.

Although many would say that it is no one’s fault when relationships fall apart in our troubled world, the truth is that in every broken or twisted relationship two people are involved and to some extent responsible and either one can have a tremendous impact on healing and strengthen the broken bonds.


You may not have caused a large part of the damage in your relationship but you are responsible for your role in the entanglement once you recognize there is a problem.

Who happens to be in your life may be an accident of birth or someone else doing; what you do with and how you react to those people is your responsibility?


You may be wondering if people can change or, on a more personal level; is it possible for the screwed-up person in your life or you to change?

The answer is yes, anyone can change. People are not leopards. They can change their spots, their behaviors, and their way of expressing themselves with a little help; a lot of desire, time, the right guidance, and effort to adjust expectations that clash with reality.


The reality is, however; that no matter what you try or how much effort you exert, the difficult person in your life may always be a problem.

Take heart!


You have made a sound investment of effort by changing your reactive behavior to proactive behavior. You, at least; are freed from further twisting into dysfunction.


A fifty percent return on any investment far exceeds the odds.


Remember; it takes two people to create a screwed-up relationship.


Also, interdependency is healthy; dependency is not.


Tomorrow Dan and I will start on CHAPTER FOUR – GET OFF THE FENCE.

The indispensable first step to getting the things you want of life is this; decide what you want.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ROSEMARY. It’s amazing what and how rosemary can help keep your body healthy?

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.


As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

Multi-tasking today, had to get a couple of things at Target 🎯 and Walmart. So, why not park the car between both places and walk from one to the other. Great walk👢👢


I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!
