Love without limits, dream without fear and live in the moment.
RECAPPING THE SERIES ON EMBRACING THE PRESENT MOMENT AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO? BONUS, THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING FOR THE WEEK OF NOV. 21st TO NOV. 27th.
Hello Followers,
Let the holidays begin!
Hanukkah begins today November 28th to December 3rd, wishing our friends and family a HAPPY HANUKKAH.
And count down 27 days until CHRISTMAS.
Dan and I both believe that the secret of health for both mind and body are not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.
One of the best, unforeseen consequences of simplifying our lives is it has allowed us to begin living our lives in the present moment.
Eliminating nonessential possessions has freed us from many of the emotions associated with past lives that were keeping us stuck.
And clearing our home has allowed us the freedom to shape our lives today around our most important values.
Living in the present moment means no longer worrying about what happened in the past and not fearing what will happen in the future.
It means enjoying what’s happening now and living for today.
101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.
Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.
That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.
CHAPTER 1; HAPPILY, YOURSELF
EAT AND DRINK WELL
Eating well is not just refueling, as well as calories you need a considered balance of nutrients.
Expert disagree but its worth navigating the maze of nutritional advice and acting on informed conclusions.
Prioritize fruit and vegetables, snack only on nuts, seeds and fruit, avoid processed foods; simple added sugars and too much salt.
Controlling your diet, maybe for ethical reasons as well as health gives extra purpose to your life.
Drink alcohol and caffeine-based drinks in moderation, if at all.
Avoid sugar drinks.
THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING
Can you read people's vibes instantly?
Those with the sixth sense tend to have a high level of empathy for others and find it easy to read other people.
Their empathy is so in tune that they can read how the other person, even a stranger, is feeling without seeing their facial expressions or knowing them well.
One of the downsides of being able to gauge people's feelings instantly is that it is tiring to hang out with those who have negative energy.
You will be affected by their anger, frustration, or sadness since you feel everything intensely.
How many are you out there are left-handers?
I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.
WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?
DID YOU KNOW!
Did you know that if you’re a lefty, the right hemisphere of the brain is in control?
This side of the brain also controls intuition and reaction to the five senses.
Maybe this is why southpaws are so creative and excel in music and the arts.

Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now.
Learn from yesterday, live for today, look to tomorrow, rest this afternoon.
A life is measured by moments like these.
Live today. Not yesterday. Not tomorrow. Just today. Inhabit your moments. Don’t rent them out to tomorrow.
Make NOW the primary focus of your life.
If you take care of each moment, you will take care of all time.
We do not know the true value of our moments until they have undergone the test of memory.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?
THROUGH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S
Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.
AND VIDEO'S
Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.
"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."
So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.
Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 10; BUTTONS AND TRIGGERS
ACT; DON’T REACT.
Buttons are the pressure values that release built-up tension.
The surprise is that even with many symptoms clearly indicating unresolved problems, we are flabbergasted when the safety values release a spurt of steam.
Why did we respond to our screwed-up person the way we did?
We are genuinely confused by our own repetitive reaction to the same old repetitive behavior.
Someone needs to make a warning label; if you notice warning buttons in your relationships, get help fast.
The explosives you carry are highly inflammatory.
If not defused, they will kill.
Tomorrow, SIGNS OF REACTIVE BEHAVIOR
This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ELDER. It’s amazing what and how elder can help keep your body healthy?
Are you ready for another ELDERBERRY recipe?
Today, its ELDERBERRY SYRUP!
This version of elderberry syrup is a go to remedy for avoiding a cold or flu.
It works best when you start to take it at the very onset of symptoms.
You know that feeling!
Maybe it starts with an itchy throat or a sudden onset of fatigue with a bit of chills, these early warnings sign you are about to come down with something.
Frequent doses will also be more effective than simply taking it a couple of times per day.
It’s not unusual to take a spoonful every 30 to 60 minutes.
If you taste the mixture before adding the honey, you will probably find that the recipe is already sweet.
However, the amount of honey you add will determine how long this will last.
If you add an amount of honey equal to the amount of juice, and it will probably last for a year.
Generally, Rosalee adds only a little honey and then use the mixture within a few days.
Ingredients:
1 cup dried elderberries (115 grams)
1 cup apple juice
9 grams licorice root
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon dried thyme (3 grams)
2 tablespoons dried rosemary (5 grams)
Honey to taste (optional)
Instructions:
1. Place the elderberries, apple juice, licorice, black pepper, and 2 cups of water into a medium saucepan.
2. Turn the heat to high to bring the mixture to a boil.
3. Then reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes, covered.
4. Remove the pan from the heat.
5. Add the thyme and rosemary.
6. Stir well and let steep, covered for 5 minutes.
7. Strain well.
8. Add honey to taste.
9. Store in the refrigerator until needed.
