Living in the moment, being present in the now, is a very effective strategy for living a happy life.
As many well-known philosophers have stated, "Now is all there is, there really is no other moment."
Our culture does not value the importance of living for now.
We continue to lose the present moment by thinking about the future and the past, conjuring up “what if” scenarios, and generating anxiety about things that probably would not ever happen.
Dan and I make a constant conscious effort to keep ourselves from entering anxiety territory by concentrating on what we are doing in the present moment.
We have noticed that it is harder to bring ourselves into the now when we are bored; it is much easier to think about other things.
However, when doing things we enjoy, it takes little effort for us to remain present.
It is important to be present in any task or activity you are doing.
When you notice your mind wandering, bring yourself back.
I do this by concentrating on my breathing and repeating to myself, "I know I am breathing in, I know I am breathing out."
Enjoy every moment, tune into the now.
Get your mind out of the past, which already happened, and the future, which has not happened yet.
Bring yourself to this very moment because that is all there is.

How to clean your iron

A paper towel
Method:

Two tablespoons of baking soda
80 ml cold water
A soft cloth
Method:
Mix baking soda with a little water until you get a thick paste.
Apply this paste to the soleplate of the iron, focusing on burnt spots.
Leave to act for 10 minutes.
Rub gently with a damp cloth to remove the paste.
Dry with clean cloth.
Bonus tip: If any residue remains, rub with a little white vinegar for maximum degreasing effect.
