For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.

CONTINUING THIS WEEK ON HAPPINESS AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello Followers,

Smile its Monday!

A new beginning to a new week.

One thing I’ve experienced over the years is this: the happiest people don’t try so damn hard.

They simply do what they love, they are healthy, they have a balanced life but most importantly, they let things be.

They learned that expectations kill happiness and that desire should be investigated.

The best part?

They know they can’t control most things that happen in their life.

It means they don’t care about everything but only about the things that are truly important to them.

In sum, self-knowledge helps them be happy.

Do you agree?

Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened.

Happiness never decreases by being shared. Buddha

101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.

Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.

That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.

CHAPTER 1; HAPPILY, YOURSELF

BE FLEXIBLE

Firmness of purpose is a strength, but can easily turn self-harming rigidity.

Try to be open-minded, and willing to change your views and objectives; though not your most cherished values.

By responding flexibly to changing circumstances, you put yourself in a good position to flourish.

When trying to reaching a conclusion, it helps if you can.

§ Be willing to consider a situation without preconceptions.

§ Be open to opinions different from your own.

§ Be prepared to change your mind in the light of new evidence or thoughts.

LAST MESSAGE FROM THE BOOK OF QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

HAPPINESS

Nothing in life is permanent, not even life is permanent.

So, take up those good memories and move forward.

If you remember only the pain, if you remember only the endings; you’ll have a dark fog around you that prevent you from seeing all the opportunities for new beginnings that come your way every day.

Lift the fog and face every new day with optimism.

Sure, there’s bound to be some more trying times ahead, but there will be many amazing times, too.

You’re here to love and learn and at those two things you have always, always succeeded.

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

DID YOU KNOW?

There may be two types of left-handers.

Pathological, or forced left-handers are lefties who would have been right-handers except for some injury that caused them to change to the non-affected side.

Genetic, or natural left handers are those who write with their left hand.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

WITH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 9 – LET THE PAST GO

Today, ACCEPT YOUR REALITY

Accepting your reality is only possible when you see the possibilities and options that exist in the relationships that surround you.

You may have tried to befriend an in-law, nurse a mother, support a child, shelter a friend, aid a father, back up an employee, cry with a neighbor but found your advances either ignored or unwanted.

Part of life is learning that not everyone wants the relationship that you desire.

You may long for your mother to mother you, your brother to be a pal, your child to express his caring, your child to make you grandparents.

It may never happen, so accept the reality, even as you continue to be open to the possibility.

To let go and move on, you must stop expecting something that is not going to happen.

This is where detachment comes in.

Continue tomorrow –

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ELDER. It’s amazing what and how elder can help keep your body healthy?

Elderberries are commonly made into syrups, decoctions, or oxymels, or eaten as food (jelly, pie, wine).

They also make a good tincture or elixir.

As suggested by herbalists for elderflowers, when using berries for an acute situation, the best results come from using moderate dosages throughout the day.

Elderberries can also be taken in small to moderate amounts as a preventive to colds and influenza.

Elderberries are food-like herbs.

As long as there is no predisposed sensitivity to them, they can be liberally taken with no adverse effects (rarely, some people may find taking moderate amounts upsets their stomach).

You and your family will certainly benefit from making your own elderberry syrup and products if you have seen the prices on the commercial products at the health food store!

Suggested Elderberry Dosage

Decoction/Syrup: 30-60 grams prepared as a decoction/syrup per day

Tincture: 30-90 drops per hour

Elderberries make a great dye.

Depending on the method used, the berries can create a grey, purple, or black dye.

It has been used to dye hair black or dye textiles like the purple silk scarves.

Until recently, French school children used ink made from elderberries.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

25 Minute Meditation to Develop Inner Peace and Calm in 2021 / Mindful Movement

In this guided meditation, take some time to pause, recognize and accept what you are feeling, get curious about what's underneath of this feeling, then take care of yourself and your feelings.

Begin the process of self-inquiry, be okay with life as it is, and then nurture and open your heart with kindness.

This practice will help you calm the sense of being overwhelmed and find peace from within and offer yourself with unconditional love and compassion.

“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford
