Nothing is better for self-esteem than survival.

TODAY WE ARE CONTINUING ON THE SERIES, WE ARE DESIGNED TO SURVIVE AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Hello Followers,

Good day Thursday!

We were designed to survive, are you a victim or hero?

Which One Are You?

That’s a hard question!

The two words may seem extreme.

You might feel they have nothing to do with you.

But they absolutely do.

You have a full life and things happen to you every day.

You have successes and failures, troubles and happiness, obstacles to overcome and things to celebrate.

One minute you're on top of the world, and the next you're cursing.

We are not trivializing the meaning of these words because being a victim can be a horrible thing.

But helping out in some important way can save a person's life and that is being a hero.

A hero or victim is a state of mind and a state of heart.

AUGUST – 4th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about August that’s so significant during this month?

National White Wine Day – August 4, 2022

Today is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a glass of this very versatile drink.

White wines make for great aperitifs before a meal, a suitable companion to fish or white meat dishes, and a great accompaniment to dessert.

White wine is generally considered to be lighter and more refreshing than red wine and is the preferred alcoholic beverage for millions of people throughout the world.

So, whether it is a chardonnay or a sauvignon Blanc, National White Wine Day is here and it’s time to relax and treat yourself to a crisp little tipple.

The origins of wine can be traced back as far as 7500 years ago, in what is now known as Iran.

Experts are pretty sure that wine was being drunk long before this but there’s no actual evidence for them to point towards at the moment.

By 460 BC it was being consumed in Europe and the Greek physician Hippocrates was prescribing it as a remedy to some of his patients.

During the Roman times, wine featured heavily at expensive banquets and was considered a sign of prestige.

It was the Romans who began to produce fewer sweet versions of white wine as they conquered new territories in the North and cultivated on new land.

It was also the Romans who introduced the concept of drinking cool wine in the summer and warm wine in the winter, a practice which many still follow today.

White wine eventually became popular throughout all of Europe, which led to more vineyards throughout the continent.

By the 16th century, that popularity had spread to the Americas, with vines being planted in Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile.

Champagne was created in the 18th century and by the 19th century, it was the drink of choice for the elite.

Champagne is only produced in the Champagne province of France, an area that has unique soil due to its sloping landscapes.

The 20th century has seen vines introduced to new places and technological developments that have changed the process of winemaking throughout the world.

One thing, though, hasn’t changed, and that’s the people’s love for a glass of white wine.

The origins of National White Wine Day are unclear but we do know the best way to celebrate, and that’s with a glass of the good stuff.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

YOU ARE WHAT YOU DO, NOT WHAT YOU SAY YOU DO.

Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.

Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.

A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 18; SEE THE POSSIBILITIES-

FAITH TAKES RISKS-

Faith isn’t about the other guy.

It’s always about me.

It’s my roots that must go down deep or, regardless of what someone else does.

I am the one who gets gobbled up.

Faith empowers me to take the risks.

It’s a risk to move toward change, but in relationships; like all of nature.

Nothing stays the same.

Here is the hard and fast rule of relationships; degenerations are inevitable unless one risks choices and makes the effort to move toward positive change.

FAITH ISN’T ABOUT THE OTHER GUY; IT’S ALWAYS ABOUT ME.

Tomorrow, FAITH FINDS THE GOOD-

Today Dan and I will be continuing on the book; ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are with you at all times; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy; meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 1; WHAT IS STRESS?

STRESS AND IMMUNITY-

We are hyped up to do something active like running or using muscles pumped full of blood to fight off an aggressor.

At the same time our adrenal glands, which sit on top of our kidneys; are busy releasing chemicals into our bloodstream.

One of these is cortisol, which actually weakens immune response.

This is not so serious if we are just experiencing an isolated stressful event, after which we can recover.

However, if we remain in that hyped up state over a prolonged period, cortisol continues to be released.

The immune system protection is reduced and we are much more likely to contract an ailment such as a cold or flu.

If you are the kind of person who seems to catch every virus going, you may need to look closely at the areas of your life that are causing you the most stress and learn some ways to reduce or modify the effects.

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

SELF ESTEEM ➖ SURVIVAL

Music is so important to our health.

Good morning what's that one song that brings back a treasure from the past .

Until Friday, scars aren’t there to loudly announce, I’ve been through more! But rather, they quietly whisper, you survived.
