Part of surviving is being able to move on.
CONTINUING ON SERIES, WE ARE DESIGNED TO SURVIVE AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.
Hello Followers,
Do you know what day it is?
It’s Thursday and it’s time to share more about health and survival!
If there are any deficiencies in nutrition, if there exists any form of pollution or if there is inadequate oxygen or poor circulation or organ malfunction, the environment within will suffer and with it the health of the body.
The nature of the environment degradation will affect the extent of upset to homeostasis and how the body will react.
One way or another, the body will be ill at ease or diseased and according to whatever symptoms the body displays.
So, one or another of a textbook full of medical names will be given to it.
The most common and most serious form of degradation of the milieu interieur is toxemia caused by improper diet.
In most cases the diet is reasonably adequate in necessary nutrients.
But the problem of malnutrition nevertheless exists because of excesses of some components, the denaturing effect of cooking and the inclusion of harmful substances such as salt, condiments and refined sugar, etc.
We were designed to survive!
AUGUST –11th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about August that’s so significant during this month?
National Son and Daughter Day – August 11, 2022
This goes out to our daughter, Danielle.
This love-centric family holiday reminds us to take a step back from the whirlwind of paying the bills, surviving the maelstrom of current events, and meeting what seem to be thousands of daily obligations, and spend time with our children.
National Son and Daughter Day is a time to go ahead and spoil the kids a little.
Be a grandparent ahead of time for a day, and remind the kids that through all the ascents and descents of mayhem and joy, and however they’ve turned out so far, they’re the greatest loves of your life.
National Son and Daughter Day traces its origins a little farther back in time than either of these if popular wisdom is to be trusted.
All the way back to 1930s Missouri, where a gentleman of the town of St. Joseph took up a young boy’s cause when the boy complained that his mom and dad each had a day, so why shouldn’t he?
The man was convinced and gradually the idea caught on, its popularity ebbing and flowing over the years, until the 1970s.
That brought another big jump, a Florida House member allegedly put in a request to the U.S. Congress to officially recognize National Son and Daughter Day.
The Representative, Claude Pepper even had in mind to specially recognize George Paul, a hero of Pepper’s from the old Texas rodeo circuit, by attaching Paul’s name to the holiday, should it become official.
Or is that just a bunch of bull?
Researchers are unable to pinpoint the exact Congressional record containing the request.
The next reference of National Son and Daughter Day is in the Nanaimo Daily News.
The Canadian publication, found in the British Columbia region, referenced the day in 1988.
Whatever the origins are, August 11 is a day for spending some quality time with your children.
Do something that you all enjoy doing as a family and treasure those moments together.
Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.
Today is:
HAPPINESS IS THE ART OF NEVER HOLDING IN YOUR MIND THE MEMORY OF ANY UNPLEASANT THING THAT HAS PASSED.
Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.
Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.
A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 19; DANCING WITH PORCUPINES (last chapter of the book)
REGENERATION-
The canary has powers we can only dream of.
Its brain can grow new nerve cells.
Neurogenesis, the rebirth of brain nerve cells, is quite common in adult fish; as well as in reptiles and rats.
Human brains cannot regenerate nerve cells.
But unlike most of natures other creatures, we are able to continuously reprogram our thoughts.
We are able to change, flex and grow as we respond to challenges.
And through our efforts, not only are we strengthened; but we can help someone who is floundering.

Today Dan and I will be continuing on the book; ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.
Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are with you at all times; your senses.
This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.
Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!
Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy; meditation.
By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.
CHAPTER 1; WHAT IS STRESS?
THE SENSES AND STRESS RELIEF-
The idea that touch, taste, or smell can help to relieve stress may seem unusual, but in fact these are some of the most useful tools you possess.
As we have already seen, the senses allow you to be in contact with your environment; by increasing and expanding how you use them.
You can change how you perceive the world around you!
In stressful situations, the right sensory tool can help you into a relaxed state; which allows you to cope.
