Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the ‘now’ the primary focus of your life.

THIS WEEK, CONTINUING SERIES ON EMBRACING THE PRESENT MOMENT AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO? BONUS, THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING.

Hello Followers,

The other day I was inquisitive and wondered when winter officially begins this year.

So, I asked goggle!

In a woman’s voice goggle replied back with a description and the answer to my question; Tuesday, December 21.

Plus, Hanukkah began Sunday, November 28th to December 6th.

I would like to apologize to my followers for the typo error the past couple of days, for Hanukkah ends not on the 3rd; but the 6th.

And count down 23 days until CHRISTMAS.

So, living in a state of gratitude for each moment we are alive and able to enjoy our family, friends, nature, experiences, food and anything else that brings us joy encompasses the meaning of living in and appreciating the present.

While the present may not always be filled with wonderful days and rainbows, we can still be grateful for the opportunity to experience life and glean from it all the moments that help shape us into who we are.

Focusing on the here and now instead of planning for tomorrow or next month keeps us in the present and feeling gratitude and happiness.

What do you do that helps you focus on appreciating the present?

101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.

Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.

That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.

CHAPTER 1; HAPPILY, YOURSELF

BE AGE-BLIND

Value people for who they are, regardless of age.

Some of the happiest friendships bridge generations.

Shun social stereotyping the young as native, the old as set in their ways.

Relish the illuminating wisdom often shown by kids and joyful openness of people with more life experience than you.

Regard your own physical signs of ageing as badges of honor, not landmarks on a downhill track.

Be as active as you can within the limitations age imposes; don’t overreach yourself.

THE SIX SENSES AND YOUR WELL-BEING

Do you have the ability to sense emotions?

Are you someone who is empathic?

You are not just acutely aware of your own feelings and intuition, but you can easily tune into others’ emotions.

Sometimes all it takes is for you to enter a room to pick on the energy and know who is feeling sad or down.

While this makes you a very caring family member or friend, it can also leave you overwhelming.

You know when someone is lying or hiding something.

You can sense when someone is hiding their true feelings, and you read between the lines.

Even if you are talking to someone over the phone or texting, and the person says everything is okay, you can pick up on their feelings, especially when something is amiss.

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

This one should had been posted last Tuesday!

LEFTY LORE

Tuesday is lucky for lefties.

It was named for the Scandinavian god Tiw, who was a southpaw and the god of war.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

THROUGH PICTURES AND VIDEO'S

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

AND VIDEO'S

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 10; BUTTONS AND TRIGGERS

Continue with SIGNS OF REACTIVE BEHAVIOR

Mature adults find ways to free themselves from exploding off irregular behavior.

Isn’t it sad that someone you care about is limiting, possibly destroying, relationships by behavior that causes chaos?

How awful to be so insecure, so cocksure, so caught in compulsive behaviors, so unwilling to change destructive patterns that a person stands as alone as an island, rather than joining hands in an alliance.

Pity the person who drives others away by feigned illness, clinging dependency, fears or efforts to control.

Feeling sorrow instead of hurt turns angry fists into compassionate hands.

Continuing tomorrow -

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of HAWTHORN. It’s amazing what and how hawthorn can help keep your body healthy?

Did you know that hawthorn has anti-inflammatory properties?

Well, it does!

Hawthorn berry has anti-inflammatory properties that improves health.

Chronic inflammation has been linked to many diseases, including type 2 diabetes, asthma, and certain cancers.

In a study in mice with liver disease, hawthorn berry extract significantly reduced levels of inflammatory compounds.

What’s more, research in mice with asthma showed that supplementing with hawthorn berry extract decreased inflammation enough to significantly reduce asthma symptoms.

Due to these results from animal and test-tube studies, scientists believe the supplement may offer anti-inflammatory benefits in humans.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation

Be Present Guided Meditation 10 minutes of Mindfulness

Be in the present moment using this mindfulness guided meditation.

After only 10 minutes, you will be feeling fully present, calm and deeply connected with the environment around you.

Enjoy!

Being present and fully engaged in the moment.

The calmness in the moment, knowing precisely what you want.

You are able to be focused on what you're doing without thinking about anything else.

You have a clear thought process, and are able to respond and adapt quickly.

Mindfulness is the practice of maintaining a moment-to-moment non-judgmental state of elevated or total consciousness of one's feelings, emotions, or experiences.

Being mindful can help relieve stress, treat heart disease, decrease blood pressure, decrease chronic pain, improve sleep, and reduce gastrointestinal problems.

Mindfulness also increases mental health.

If you are depressed, you are living in the past.

If you are anxious, you are living in the future.

If you are at peace, you are living in the present.

- Lao Tzu.

Until Friday, you can neither change your past nor can be sure of the future. Live for now and for today. It is the only reality that exists.

Hello, December!

Dan and I wish this month be filled with the joy of the time spent with family and friends.

May peace fill your home and your heart.

May hope be your security blanket.

May love be the most precious gift that you receive and give.
