Hello followers,
HAPPY WEEKEND!
Thought of the day, does forgiving others come easier than forgiving yourself?
Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does change the future.
When a deep injury is done to us, we never heal until we forgive.
Forgiveness has the power to affect your mental well-being.
Yet, many people have difficulty forgiving the person they are never without themselves.
Self-forgiveness can affect your well-being for the better or worse, depending on how easily you grant it.
An older 2001 study found that not forgiving yourself or others may put you at higher risk for depression.
Holding on to negative emotions about yourself lowers your overall self-esteem and opens the door to anxiety and depression.
You might ask, why do I have a hard time with self-forgiveness?
It can be hard to forgive yourself because it requires looking at mistakes and facing uncomfortable feelings like guilt and regret.

Have you done something that embarrasses you?
It happens to everyone, but it does not lessen the sting of the moment.
Things we have done long in the past can sneak back up on us, surprise us, knock us off balance long after they occur.
You are better than your mistakes and mishaps, more than the sum of any one strange or difficult moment handled gracelessly.
Forgive yourself and release it.
