CONTINUING ON THE NEW SERIES, REMEMBER TO CELEBRATE MILESTONES AS YOU PREPARE FOR THE ROAD AHEAD AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE HERB – DANDELION.

Hello Followers,

I bet you are wondering what celebrating milestones have to do with good health!

Personal growth is important.

Rewarding yourself for your achievements, whether that’s learning a new skill, finding a new job, or acing a class, can lead to your next step forward.

WHY?

Because celebrating small goals can help encourage you to achieve larger ones.

Today we are going to explore the 3rd experience that we all experience and that is, starting school.

Once you’re

walking and talking, it’s time to start learning about subjects like math and reading.

Some people remember their very first day of preschool or kindergarten, while others might remember something later on.

For example, maybe you remember your first time reading out loud in class, or the time you got a gold star for good behavior.

It’s the 9th day of June, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about June that’s so significant during this month?

National Donald Duck Day – June 9, 2022

This goes out to my grandson, Jonah and to all of your grandchildren.

Donald Duck made his cartoon debut in, The Wise Little Hen back in the summer of 1934.

But he wouldn’t meet Mickey Mouse until his second appearance in, Orphan’s Benefit later that year.

It wasn’t long before Daisy Duck and his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie were introduced.

In spite of their superior diction, they weren’t able to steal the spotlight from Donald.

You can’t replace his grumpy, nearly incomprehensible charm, and it’s why the Donald has been in more movies (200+) than any Disney character.

So, let’s celebrate National Donald Duck Day!

National Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Day – June 9, 2022

Did you know that rhubarb is a vegetable?

This means the delicious strawberry rhubarb pie is a rare dessert that is a fine blend of a fruit and a vegetable.

The uniqueness of this dessert definitely makes it worthwhile to have an entire day dedicated to celebrating it.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

JOY IS YOU AT THE DEEPEST LEVEL, AND YOUR JOY IS ONE WITH THE INFINITE TIMELESS JOY OF THIS UNBOUND UNIVERSE.

Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.

Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.

A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

Chapter 16; IS DIFFERENT SCREWED UP?

Continuing today on; REALITY CHECK THREE; THE EFFECTS OF PERSONALITY-

The key to an extrovert or an introvert is what rejuvenates them.

Extroverts need social interactions or they become depressed.

Too much time alone sends their emotions spiraling downward.

Introverts overdose on too much social time.

They need to withdraw, to pull back, to have quiet time to revitalize.

Without energizing as they must, both introverts and extroverts will feel dejected, question their abilities and their life purpose, and show signs of depression.

This is the spot that Dan and I have been posting, on the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs.

This week Dan and I have been blogging on the herb; DANDELION and the benefits.

It’s amazing what and how dandelion can help keep your body healthy?

Ready for a recipe!

DANDELION PESTO

This bitter pesto is tempered by the nutty, sweet flavor of pine nuts and the zing of lemon.

If you aren’t up for foraging your own dandelion greens, look for them at your grocery store in the produce section.

Enjoy this as a dip with crackers, bread or carrots.

It’s also great as a topping on meats, veggies and eggs.

Ingredients:

½ cup shelled pine nuts

3 garlic cloves, minced

2 cups chopped fresh dandelion leaves, loosely packed.

1 tablespoon lemon juice, plus 1 tablespoon lemon zest

½ cup extra-virgin olive oil

½ teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

¼ cup freshly grated parmesan

Instructions:

1. Place all the ingredients except the parmesan into a blender or food processor.

2. Process until smooth.

3. If it’s to thick, slowly add a bit more olive oil.

4. Add the parmesan and continue to blend until the mixture has a smooth consistency.

5. Refrigerate and eat within 3 days.

6. ENJOY!

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

INTEGRITY

Sometimes milestones are not measured by the accomplishments of society, but by those of integrity.

Until Friday, your own self is your ultimate teacher. The outer teacher is merely a milestone.

It is only your inner teacher that will walk with you to the goal, for it is the goal.
