Stay focused, go after your dreams and keep moving toward your goals.

WE WILL BE CONTINUING THIS WEEK ON REMEMBER TO CELEBRATE MILESTONES AS YOU PREPARE FOR THE ROAD AHEAD AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE HERBS – ASHWAGANDHA, ASTRAGALUS.

Hello Followers,

It’s the week-end and a long one at that!

What are you up to for July 4th week-end?

If you’re struggling to set and stick to your milestones, don’t give up; get a partner.

Make sure it’s someone who will be firm but fair with you, like a family member or a close friend.

Dan and I have been partner’s for over forty years, we are best friends, lovers, soul mates and have both achieved goals that each of us have supported.

Don’t insist that the accountability partner progress through your milestones with you.

Everyone has their own goals to achieve.

Do, however, ask him or her to hold you accountable.

Suggest some light consequences in case you aren’t progressing toward your goal like you’d hoped.

Even if you can’t get an accountability partner, you can use one of your calendar apps to set daily goals that reminds you of each goal.

At the end of the week, go through your calendar and track which goals you accomplished.

Wow its JUNE – 2nd day, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about July that’s so significant during this month?

National Disco Day – July 2, 2022

I picked this holiday, for it brings back memories of the 70’s.

This was when I was at my peek and was of age to go to the lounges.

And, yes, I would go out disco dancing.

National Disco Day is celebrated in New Zealand every year on July 2.

The day is a salute to all things disco, from the music and dancing to the entire culture of the 1970s.

National Disco Day is an unofficial observance that focuses on the genre of dance music that wielded significant influence on modern music, developing into an entire subculture over the 1960s and 1970s in America.

While the popularity of disco declined in America around the 1980s, it only gained popularity in the rest of the world, including New Zealand.

This annual observance is an unofficial day where everyone gets together to celebrate the fun music, dance, and culture that evolved from disco.

Disco developed from several influences.

Philadelphia soul, funk, psychedelic soul, and pop all inspired dance music in American nightlife.

Disco started as a reaction to the popularity of rock music in the 1960s and emerged as a subcultural response to how current dance music was ignored and dismissed by music fans.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE IS THE OTHER EXPRESSION OF INNER PEACE.

Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.

Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.

A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 17; WHEN YOU WANT TO HELP

HOW HELP BECOMES UNHEALTHY-

The wrong kind of help is worse than no help at all and can be detrimental to you as well as the recipient.

This help:

1. Has the potential of drawing you into the fray?

2. May cripple the other person even further if you give too much.

3. May make you feel guilty that you can’t prevent disaster.

4. Offers a quickie fix that complicates the problem and recovery for the long term.

5. Lacks honesty or integrity.

6. Shelters someone from the responsibility and consequences of their actions.

7. Rushes in time and again to fix the same problem.

8. Makes you feel frustrated, used, boxed in, and you may begin to wonder if anything you do makes any difference at all.

Tomorrow, THE WRONG KIND OF HELP IS WORSE THAN NO HELP AT ALL-

Continuing on the herb; ASTRAGALUS and the benefits, It’s the last herb from the book ALCHEMY OF HERBS by Rosalee De La Foret.

Astragalus has such a mildly sweet flavor.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the herb was hailed as a protector against stresses, both mental and physical.

Astragalus provides health benefits to a number of body systems and ailments.

Although more studies in humans are needed to solidify its effectiveness, success in rats, mice and other animals have prompted progressive research on the herb.

Because of the tremendous success of so many research studies and trials, new information about astragalus is coming to light all the time.

In general, its greatest strength is preventing and protecting cells against cell death and other harmful elements, such as free radicals and oxidation.
