The best way to predict the future is to create it.

RECAPPING THIS WEEK POSTS ON, WHAT IS LIFE ABOUT AND WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE? AND WHY DO WE EXIST? PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Hello followers,

Happy Sunday,

As I woke up to the smell of coffee that Dan had ready for me and getting ready for the day, the first thought that came to my mind was the cool weather, walking through the assorted color

leaves and deer.

Growing up in Florida, it did get cool, but not like up North.

Not very often did I see the leaves changing colors.

And deer was far between.

The thought came to mind, how we take life for granted.

Even though I grew up around water, I was missing the mountains and different kind of nature.

So, this Floridian girl is in her glory to experience life in the mountains.

It is time to begin as Dan and I have been blogging about our experiences with alternative treatments for cancer and the after care of keeping healthy; have taken it one step farther by adding a fundamental part of why we exist.

Last week we started to blog on the properties of life, characteristic traits.

Dan and I have posted on four characteristic traits: organization, metabolism, homeostasis, growth, reproduction, response, and evolution.

What counts as life is still being defined.

The question of what it means to be alive remains unresolved.

For instance, viruses; tiny protein and nucleic acid structures that can only reproduce inside host cells, have many of the properties of life.

However, they do not have a cellular structure, nor can they reproduce without a host.

Similarly, it is not clear that they maintain homeostasis, and they do not conduct their own metabolism.

For these reasons, viruses are not generally considered to be alive.

However, not everyone agrees with this conclusion, and whether they count as life remains a topic of debate.

Some even simpler molecules, such as self-replicating proteins; like the “prions” that cause mad cow disease and self-replicating RNA enzymes, also have some, but not all, of the properties of life.

Moreover, all the properties of life we have discussed are characteristic of life on earth.

If extraterrestrial life exists, it may or may not share the same characteristics.

Indeed, NASA’s working definition that life is a self-sustaining system capable of Darwinian evolution opens the door to many more possibilities than the criteria defined above.

However, this definition also makes it hard to quickly decide whether something is alive!

As more types of biological entities are discovered, on Earth or beyond, they may demand that we re-think what it means for something to be alive.

Future discoveries may call for revisions and extensions of the definition of life.

In combining our physical and mental functions, we can control our bodies and keep them healthy.

It took me a long time to realize this for myself.

Hopefully, this will help you, our followers.

So, let us discuss one of the seven life multipliers, that Dan and I had been posting on.

We have posted on, self-empowerment, self-control, renewable vitality, emotion mastery and conscious communication along with smart focus and learning & adaptability.

Yesterday we missed the last one, Constructive Thinking-

With constructive thinking, you have a clear mind.

You know how to utilize your brain power to solve problems and be creative.

Tomorrow, Simple Ways to Find Out What Life is About-

There are many different behaviors, ideals, and actions that humans have found over the centuries that can be excellent methods to draw us towards that final, inner conclusion of why we exist.

There are a handful of ways to kickstart the adventure of finding out just what life is about.

Dan and I will start exploring them-

SEPTEMBER – 25th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about September that is so significant during this month?

Today it was hard to choose for there were a lot of celebrations, National Lobster Day, Binge Day, National Comic Book Day, National Cooking Day, National One-Hit Wonder Day, National Quesadilla Day, National Yoga Fit Day, Rosh Hashanah, World Dream Day, World Rivers Day, World’s Largest Pet Walk and National Daughters Day.

But, of course, I choose; National Daughters Day.

The memories and the achievements of our daughter outweighed all other celebrations.

National Daughters Day on September 25 is a day to celebrate and cherish our daughters who bring so much love into our lives.

Although we do not really need a reason to celebrate our children, it is nice to be given the opportunity to pay our daughters some extra attention and show them how much they are loved.

On National Daughter Day we remember to show unconditional love to the guardian of our family trust, our beautiful, witty, creative, and sometimes, demanding daughters.

For aging parents, especially, a daughter maintains a level of connectivity and commitment that keeps families together and healthy.

Of course, that is not to say that sons do not do their part.

But today, we are talking exclusively about daughters!

This time of year is a wonderful time to be a daughter.

Not long after National Daughters Day comes National Transfer Money to Your Daughter Day.

Yep, October 6 is an entire day devoted to daughters getting some extra pocket money from their parents.

If you parents do not believe in this holiday, then you would better forward it on and set them straight!

There are many similar holidays that fall around the same time, with World Daughters Day on September 28 and some other countries choosing to celebrate National Daughters Day on October 1.

The original meaning behind this day may have blossomed in India.

Per the Hindustan Times, unlike other countries in the world; there has always been a certain stigma attached to being a girl child in India.

And while this may no longer be the case in the big cities, it is still quite widespread in India.

When a woman gives birth to a girl she is penalized.

While developing countries often see daughters as a burden, other nations celebrate.

We might also view this day in the context of the #metoo movement, especially in the U.S., where women have faced daunting obstacles throughout history.

From the very beginning, society viewed women as inferior to men.

The law did not recognize wives’ independence in economic, political, or civic matters in Anglo-American society of the eighteenth century.

Male privilege dominated at the time.

Women did not receive the right to vote until 1920.

Up until the 1960s, wives typically stayed at home while husbands worked.

With so much emphasis historically placed on the importance of sons (especially around inheritance), the status of having a daughter has often been diminished.

In royalty, lines of succession have always flowed from father to son, although this tradition has recently been abandoned by today’s British Royal Family, if the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is a girl; she would automatically enter the line of succession as a future queen!

If you can tune into your purpose and really align with it, setting goals so that your vision is an expression of that purpose, then life flows much more easily.

When you find your WHY, you do not hit snooze no more! You find a way to make it happen!

Everyone has been made for some particular work and the desire for that work has been put in every heart.

The best way to lengthen out our days is to walk steadily and with a purpose.

Experience is not what happens to you; it is what you do with what happens to you.

The most important trip you may take in life is meeting people halfway.

Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved.

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

TO MAKE THIS WORLD JOYFUL, LET YOUR HEART OVERFLOW WITH JOY.

Today Dan and I will be continuing the book, ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY; TASTE-

TEN MINUTE FRUIT BOOSTS-

Are you for another fruit drink recipe?

PEACH AND RASPBERRY SMOOTHIE

Peaches are rich in B vitamins and beta-carotene as well as minerals like calcium and magnesium.

Use ripe fruit with no bruises.

Wash and cut in half and remove the pit, not the peel.

Raspberries are rich in vitamin C, wash them before use.

Into the blender put two peaches, cut into chunks: 4oz raspberries.

Three tablespoons unsweetened yogurt and ½ cup milk.

Blend until smooth.

Enjoy-

As I ponder over all that I have learned, I have come to find that we all have our own blueprint.

Our bodies are precious and there are many components in taking care of them.

Throughout the blog, Dan and I have related the separate ways through body, heart, and soul.

It is all about power of knowledge and learning to take care of yourself, keeping your cells happy.

Our immune system is one of the key factors in keeping healthy.

It is important to know how it works!

Germs and Viruses????

Thus, since before the higher forms of life began to appear; the world has been teeming with bacteria (germs), which micro-organisms form the basis of all other forms of life.

They manufacture soil out of rock, destroy unhealthy tissues of plants and animals, break down dead tissues of plants and animals to be used again and form an essential part of the body and body functions of all animals.

In this latter regard the behavior of the various forms of bacteria normal in the body is dependent on the environment within the body, which should be healthy but very often in humans is not.

And it is only when the milieu interieur becomes deteriorated that many normal bacteria change from a benign form to a pathological form, again as a natural consequence.

In Nature it is the survival of the species that counts, and individuals are expendable for the survival of the majority.

The weak or sickly in the wild are not tolerated to handicap the group and one way or another are

soon eliminated by predators appointed for the purpose.

So, when a person allows a pathological condition of body chemistry to develop within them, they should realize that what follows is not a perversity of fate or an unlucky encounter with germs of a criminal nature, but merely another step in a natural sequence of events.
