The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is?

The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice.

CONTINUING THE SERIES OF QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

Hello followers,

Its Thursday and I would like to thank each and everyone of you in sharing with Dan and I this blog.

We are back home from our adventures of North Carolina. Loved the peace of the mountain air and the sound of water rushing through the creeks.

There is this saying from Paulo Coelho, when we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change. This saying has stick with Dan and I through the past ten years. Ever since I was diagnosed with breast cancer, we have been tested. Life is all about the willingness to change.

You know those moments when you tell yourself, “I just got to trust the universe.” Whether it's because things in your life feel overwhelming, sometimes you just know you need to surrender and learn to trust that things will work out. Trust really is a practice, an art—especially in those moments when it feels like things just aren’t happening. In the wellness world, we put so much emphasis on the importance of letting go, relinquishing the need to control and learning to trust that things will simply be taken care of. Trusting the universe requires patience.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

THERE ARE 12 LAWS OF KARMA

Law eight – the law of willingness. Whatever you believe to be true, the universe will demonstrate that truth to you. When negative outer circumstances challenge your positive beliefs, just hold on to your beliefs and don’t let those temporary negative influences change them. If you change your positive beliefs to negative ones, the universe will switch to show you more of the negative.

Keep believing in the positive and the universe will turn something that seemed negative into something positive.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer.

By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress). So, by now you know this is always in our routine for healing and keeping our body cells happy.

One of Dan’s and my willingness to change through this time was keeping healthy. I remember this one moment, a conversation with Dr. Perez; I asked him if I would be around in five years.

He, replied it was up to me and how I live my life. Through their love and passion, I’m sharing through this blog our process of keeping healthy – it’s like a journal of our personal journey keeping healthy. Leading to why I ask you, did you do your walking?

I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation . Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it!

SLOWLY DOES IT

If you’re used to feeling connected all the time, it could be trickier than you think to wean yourself off the comfort of always being contactable.

Try doing it in small doses. Take a walk without your phone or turn it off for ten minutes during the day. Allow yourself the freedom of not checking in all the time. You’ll soon progress to longer periods of time and you won’t feel as tied to your handset.

As I continue to be re-reading my book that I wrote four years ago; it’s a personal journey of my everyday experience with treatments that I received in Mexico. In relations to the current series of QUOTES ABOUT LIVING; 2010 - SHERYL'S JOURNEY THROUGH FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE

In the beginning, I feared the word cancer, but as I began my journey, I was able to smile, and laugh with giggles. I am blessed and humbled to share this experience with you and trust you have an open mind for the hope someday we accept this form of treatment.

“THE JOURNEY BEGINS” From My Diary

I’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer. Daily I ask myself if I am selfish for not using the conventional way. People are diagnosed with this nasty sickness yearly and do not realize what to do other than accept what physicians tell us. I remember when I went to the surgeon and he said “it is what it is” how overwhelmed I was. I knew even before he said this that I was going toward a different way. But we are not given choices. We put our faith in the doctors and all they learn is the conventional training.

My husband researched and found several types of treatments, but because they are not FDA-approved they are not performed in the USA. It’s amazing; Germany and Mexico provide other methods that work. I chose a path that will be an alternative to surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation methods that are conventionally used to kill the illness. Other methods seek out the cause and enhance immunity.

SMALL DIFFERENCES

Maybe you can't change the whole world, but if you have love in your heart you can make small differences every day, which really does change the world, one life at a time.

The whole principle is to manage the disease with a healthy lifestyle. I decided to do a journal of my experience for others to see how they can survive without it. Either way, you do have choices to walk your own path. It is as easy as googling on the computer. Within my writings, I give a website that provide other ways. This is a day to practice the power of choice. Choose the quality of mood you want. Whether you'll adopt a positive or negative attitude, the decision is up to you! Your goal is to realize you do have the ability to enhance your life each moment!

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. Today I’m going to continuing blogging on the herb – NUTMEG. Since nutmeg has lots of health benefits, it’s worth spending time on.

Nutmeg improves brain function. As far as stimulators go, nutmeg is one of the most commonly used aphrodisiacs all over the world. While most people may link an aphrodisiac to sexual health, they are actually used to stimulate certain nerves located in the brain. Nutmeg, when used as an aphrodisiac, helps to stimulate nerves in the brain that trigger positive feelings and wellness. Who would have thought!! Did you know?

Aphrodisiac compounds help to trigger the release of positive emotion hormones which not only can improve your mood but also help you to remain calm. Many people who are looking for ways to sharpen their minds and reduce brain fog may find that nutmeg is the perfect option for stimulation with no side effects. Nutmeg can also help reduce chronic and short-term stress when consumed as a tonic. Adding some to your tea or coffee daily will suffice.

Until Friday, courage is the willingness to risk failure. There is only one danger I find in life, and that, indeed, is a real one. You may take too many precautions. Life is all about the willingness to change. So, today keep believing in the positive and the universe will turn something that seemed negative into something positive.
