The most challenging times bring us the most empowering lessons.
RECAPPING THIS WEEK ON THE SERIES OF LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, THE HERB – TEA. ALSO 101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS.
Hello followers,
Wow, another week, another month approaching!
As January ends, Dan and I are looking for February challenges.
One that we are excited for is, this month we are going to be grandparents to a baby girl.
For the past three years, Dan and I have been loving grandparents to our grandson.
Well, loving it; our challenge will be sharing our love between both grandchildren.
However, I know between Dan and my love it can be shared between both our daughter and both grandchildren.
With this in mind, with every successful change, you get gratification, a sense of contentment.
But on the other hand, with every unsuccessful change, you learn something new to use in the next challenge.
Thomas Alva Edison once said, I have not failed.
I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.
That’s a bit extreme, but the learning is the same.
Don’t look at failures as setbacks, but rather learn from them.
Analyze what you could have done better and use the learning in your next challenge.
101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.
Continuing from last year!
Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.
That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.
CHAPTER 3; HAPPILY WORKING
SUPPORT YOUR COLLEAGUES
When workmates openly have difficulties in their personal lives, show your support.
If only with a get-well card, a letter, a warm word or two.
On work issues, be supportive without getting involved in grievances.
Give advice and hands-on assistance when possible.
You might need a similar favor someday.
If you feel inclined to stand up for a victim of unfair treatment, proceed with care.
Remember to establish the facts before you act.

There’s always a new challenge to keep you motivated.
The bigger the challenge, the bigger the opportunity for growth.

CHAPTER 12; FIGHT FAIR WITH UNFAIR PEOPLE
LOVE IS WHAT HOLDS HEARTS TOGETHER WHEN MINDS DISAGREE!
MIND GAMES; TACTICS
TALKING THROUGH THE PROBLEM
CONFRONTATION –
Perhaps you are thinking CONFRONTATION!
This won’t work.
I’ve tried that and it was a disaster.
They won’t hear me.
The old behavior will just keep going on.
It is possible that the reason confrontation did not work previously is because you allowed the confrontation to evolve into an argument.
You didn’t lose because you confronted, you lost because you argued.
Continue tomorrow –
Last year, Dan and I have been posting, this is the time to get ready for food and remedies that
heal; alchemy of herbs.
Continuing on the herb; TEA and the benefits.
It’s amazing what and how tea can help keep your body healthy?
Put the kettle on, because we’re sharing some of the biggest benefits hidden in the world’s most
popular teas.
PREFECT CREAM RECIPE – GREEN TEA AND ROSE FACIAL CREAM
This is the most complicated recipe in ALCHEMY OF HERBS BY Rosalee De La Foret.
However, if you love decadent and nourishing facial creams; learning how to make them yourself will open a whole new world of luxury.
Most facial creams you can buy at the store, even the all-natural ones have all sorts of weird ingredients.
This cream is filled with the best and most nourishing ingredients for your skin.
Many of the ingredients in this recipe are oddly shaped, so you will need a scale to measure them by weight.
Ingredients:
1 cup jojoba oil
30 grams green tea leaves
10 grams dried rose petals
1 gram alkanet root – optional, turns this oil red to make pink cream
20 grams beeswax
25 grams coconut oil
20 grams shea butter
1/3 cup rose hydrosol
1/3 cup aloe vera gel
1 teaspoon rosemary antioxidant extract
15 drops geranium essential oil – optional
10 drops grapefruit essential oil – optional
8 drops clary sage essential oil – optional
Instructions:
OUR FIRST STEP:
1. Infuse the herbs into the oil.
2. Put 1 to 2 inches of water in the bottom of a double boiler.
3. Place the oil into the top.
4. Add the green tea, rose petals and alkanet root and stir well.
5. Turn on the heat and heat the oil until it is fairly warm to the touch, about 100F.
6. Remove from heat.
7. Heat the oil 3 to 5 times per day for 1 to 2 can days.
8. You can also put this in a modified slow cooker or yogurt incubator as long as the temperature of the oil doesn’t exceed 110F.
ONCE THE HERBS AND OIL HAVE INFUSED:
1. Strain off the herbs, reserving the oil.
2. When straining the oil recommend using cheesecloth so you can squeeze all the oil out of the herbs.
3. After you strain the herbs, you should have ¾ cup jojoba oil.
4. If you fall short of that, add enough pure jojoba oil to reach that amount.
IN A DOUBLE BOILER:
1. Heat the beeswax, coconut oil and shea butter until melted.
2. Add the oil and stir until everything is liquid and combined.
IN FOOD PROCESSOR:
1. Pour the warm oil mixture into a food processor or blender.
2. Let cool just until solid.
3. Mix together the rose hydrosol, aloe vera, rosemary antioxidant and essential oils.
4. The next step is to emulsify these waters with the oils.
5. For best results, the two mixtures should be roughly the same temperature.
6. Turn the food processor or blender with the oils in it, and slowly drizzle in the water mixture.
7. Continue to blend until the ingredients have combined to form a thick cream
8. Do not over blend. If necessary – use a spatula to scrape down the sides and around the blade as you blend.
9. Spoon the cream into containers.
10. Store in a cool, dark place or the fridge.
TO USE:
1. Massage a tiny amount of cream into your face and neck just after washing your face with warm water.
2. It may feel oily for a few minutes but will soon soak in, leaving your skin feeling silky and smooth.
3. Use within three months.
