THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND, THIS LAND IS MY LAND
Hello Wednesday,
Have you ever wondered why we call Wednesday – HUMP DAY!! Dan and I wondered and found out the answer. During a common work week, Wednesdays are considered as “hump day” simply because they are at the middle of the week.
Picture out a green hill, the highest peak is Wednesday, although some people may argue about this depending on their work week schedule, for some work six days a week. “Hump day” is a term used in modern American English that symbolizes the peak of the week nearing close to the weekends.
“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” Eleanor Roosevelt
Mondays are always dragging, visualizing a green hill; the upward direction refers to Monday and Tuesdays. By Wednesday, the work week is already half into the week, preparing for the descent to the weekends. For people who work 6 days per week, they often argue that Thursday is the “Hump day.” But no matter what day the “Hump day” is, the idea is that people will reach the middle of the week wherein they are able to perform at their best and they are less stressed because they know the work week is almost over.
😂 LAUGH AT IT
Good morning hump day🐪As soon as you have made a thought, laugh at it. Have a fantastic day😂
Wednesdays are often associated with a negative image. Oftentimes, during the old days, Wednesdays are perceived as a bad day to bear children. Children born on this day are said to be always sad or may have a life of misery. Other accounts say Wednesdays are called unhappy days or unlucky days. Seemingly this sounds unfitting for a very cheerful representation of a “Hump day” for Wednesdays. The thought sounds contradictory between the “unlucky” Wednesdays and the “Hump day.” It shows that people with different beliefs, cultures, and socialization's view same ideas in different ways.
“Hump days” whether Wednesdays or Thursdays, are a great relief especially to those people who are working very hard to support their families. Reaching the middle of a very tiring work week would make their tiring job a lot easier since they know rest days are near. They become more efficient at work and happier in their workplace. When you reach hump day, how do you feel? Are you relieved that it’s the middle of the week and do you start planning your weekends?
When Dan and I worked, we looked forward to the middle part of the week, for it told us that the week is almost over and it will be time for play.
For the past two weeks, I have been blogging on air pollution and how it affects our health. While researching, Dan and I have been amazed with all the different sources that causes health issues. Air pollution is the introduction of harmful substances in the air that have detrimental impacts to the environment and humanity. It occurs when the harmful substances such as foreign gases, odor, dust, or fumes are present in the air at levels that can harm the comfort and health of animals and humans or even destroy plant life.
Air pollution results from both human and natural activities. Emissions from power plants present a perfect example of human activities whereas volcanic eruptions and forest fires are some of the natural aspects.
Here are the recaps of air pollution relating to health, cause and effect.

POLLUTION FROM HUMAN ACTIVITIES IS CHANGING THE EARTH’S CLIMATE
Tomorrow Dan and I will be moving on to land pollution. Land pollution is the destruction or decline in the quality of the earth’s land surfaces in terms of use, landscape, and ability to support life forms. Many times, it is directly and indirectly caused by human activities and abuse of land resources.
Until tomorrow, remember this land is your land, this land is my land, From California to the New York Island. From the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters This land was made for you and me. MAKE A CHANGE
