STARTING A NEW SERIES ON; TIME AND CONTINUING LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello Followers,

Well, it’s the start of the week-end again!

Dan and I are starting a new series this week-end on TIME.

It’s been said since we can all remember that time is a terrible thing to waste.

It’s an expiration that’s ever-present, and if we sit around wasting it, we will be sorry that we let it go to waste.

Time is something that no one can ever get back, and each moment of life is precious.

How many are you out there are left-handers?

I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.

It’s time to share some words from THE LEFT-HANDER’S HANDBOOK.

WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?

Another researcher, Theodore Blau; has a test using each hand in turn, draw X’s.

Draw the circle counterclockwise you’re left-handed.

But at least one authority takes it beyond the question of which hand you use.

Dr. Samuel Johnson, who was probably a closet left-hander; seems to agree.

He was spooked by left-footedness.

To enter the house with the left foot brings down evil on the inmates.

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

TIME

Few of us have tons of free time.

When we believe something is important, we make time for it.

Making time for the people who are most important in your life is crucial to happiness.

A job can replace you, but to those who love you; you are irreplaceable.

Prioritize your time with this in mind.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.

Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.

"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."

30 PICTURES - ENJOY THE SLIDE SHOW

So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.

Tomorrow I will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy. The topic well be on TAKE CHARGE

For more information click on book

TAKE CHARGE

If someone is victimizing you with any abusive behavior, your relationship has skewed and your self-esteem is diminished.

Self-talk is crucial to jump-start battered confidence.

Tell yourself; I can change what I think of myself and how I interact in this relationship.

Encourage yourself to take the necessary steps, regardless of what anyone else does.

Gather your ever-diminishing inner resources to identity the problem and seek outside help, separate from the other person until you are healthy enough to cope; or do both if you have crossed from a skewed relationship to a screwed-up relationship.

Take courage in the fact that first steps are the beginning of change.

Don’t be discouraged by the effort required, time needed; or setbacks you experience.

Change takes time.

Be patient with yourself and you will gradually regain self-confidence and be able to say no to the abuse.

The first step toward healing hidden wounds is the recognition that there is a problem that must be resolved.

Tomorrow topic is; know when to stop.

This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of THYME. It’s amazing what and how thyme can help keep your body healthy?

Now, are you ready for a recipe with thyme?

THYME OXYMEL

Dating back as far as the ancient Greeks, oxymels are herbal preparations made by combining herbs with honey and vinegar.

These sweet and sour preparations are specific to the treatment of respiratory symptoms and can be used for bronchial complaints, especially when there is a lot of mucus present; as in congested coughs.

A simple spoonful of honey can soothe a sore throat, but it also offers a wide range of benefits.

It’s antimicrobial, which means it inhibits the growth of pathogens; as well as slightly expectorant.

Ingredients:

4 handfuls fresh thyme, or 2/3 cup dried thyme

¼ cup local raw honey

1 ½ cups organic apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

1. Add thyme to a 1-pint jar, then add the honey.

2. Fill the jar the rest of the way with apple cider vinegar and stir well.

3. Cover the jar with a glass or plastic lid, if using a metal lid – place parchment or wax paper between the metal and the liquid. Otherwise, the vinegar will corrode the lid.

4. Shake the mixture gently once a day for 2 weeks.

5. Strain then store the oxymel in the fridge or another cool place. It should last for a year – possibly longer.

6. To use – adults can use 1 tablespoon every hour for a sore throat or congested cough.

NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth

THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal keep your body cells happy.

As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while

managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation

Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can ‘see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation.
