STARTING THE NEW YEAR OFF ON THE SERIES OF LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, THE HERB - LEMON BALM AND ROSE, 101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS.

Hello Followers,

QUESTIONS, DECISIONS, AND CHOICE!

Every year we try to keep our New Year’s resolutions, but by the end of January it’s out the door.

According to professionals, the single most common New Year’s resolution is to lose weight.

It also violates two of the top rules for creating effective resolutions.

For starters, “losing weight” isn’t very specific.

It can be five pounds or fifty.

It’s also an admirable goal that actually encompasses a lot of little goals, which can be overwhelming.

So, if you want to make it more feasible, try aiming for those instead.

For example; I’m going to log my eating and workout habits.

Forget changing your habits right off the bat.

Start by observing them.

By keeping a log of what you eat and how much you work out, you give yourself a framework for what to do next.

From there, your goals aren’t abstract and lofty, they’re manageable and simple.

I’m going to change one thing about my eating habits each month.

Whether it follows the previous step or you do it on your own, you can start small to change your diet and build a foundation of new habits.

Removing a single unhealthy food or reducing portion sizes may not seem like much, but it’s practical.

You can use each little change as a stepping stone to move up to newer challenges.

I’m going to work out three days a week.

Everyone says they’re going to start hitting the gym, but without a concrete goal there’s nothing to keep you motivated.

So, give yourself a set number of days, and work out those same days each week.

The key is to fit it into your routine and keep yourself motivated so you actually stick to it.

For Dan and I, we learned that it’s changing your lifestyle, by walking, eating healthier and meditating this can all contribute to losing weight.

Time is free, but it’s priceless.

You can’t own it, but you can use it.

You can’t keep it, but you can spend it.

Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.

Time is taken for granted, but after it is gone; all we have left

are the memories.

So, I put together 365 inspirational sayings; this way we can

stop for a second and pause.

This was inspired by giving as Christmas gifts to our loved ones.

Each day Dan and I will also shake and pull out of our box and share with you all.

Today is:

That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.

CHAPTER 2; HAPPILY, PEACEFUL

AVOID PROCRASTINATION

Delaying decisions often stems from poor levels of self-esteem or confidence.

As crunch time approaches, you might panic about making the wrong choice.

A variant of this is having a long-neglected choice you just can’t bring yourself to start.

Either way, you’re carrying unnecessary baggage; the burden of your weakness.

The solution to both situations is to set a firm schedule for breaking the deadlock.

Build in celebration time too; but first, roll up your sleeves and take action.

Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.

Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.

CHAPTER 11; MAKE ANGER YOUR ALLY

TO TURN ANGER INTO AN ALLY, PARTNER WITH IT.

Continue on TAKE CONTROL

Getting a life gives you handles to shift your attention away from your personal problems and focus on the options within your own grasp, so that you do not stew in your own pressure cooker.

The choice to get a life heightens your awareness that you are a unique, separate, and distinct individual, responsible for your own happiness.

You can seethe in anger or do something productive with it, regardless of what others choose.

Continue tomorrow-

Last year, Dan and I have been posting, this is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs.

Yesterday’s blog we started on the herb; ROSE and the benefits.

It’s amazing what and how rose can help keep your body healthy?

True wild roses are beautiful yet simple, with only five petals and a starburst of stamens in the center.

They range in color from pure white to a deep pink and are almost always aromatic.

How then did we end up with a thousand of variations of rose species today?

Our obsession with the rose has led to breeding countless changes, as now roses can have numerous petals and come in a multitude of colors; white, yellow, pink, orange, red, blue and everything in between.

Many roses have been bred for beauty, much of their scent and medicinal properties have been lost along the way.

When choosing roses for your health, look for aromatic wild roses as your best source.

If you don’t have access to wild roses, then domesticated roses could be used.

Although there are a couple of considerations!

Only use roses that you know have not been sprayed with pesticides.

Never use roses from florists, since these are almost always sprayed.

Besides wanting to avoid consuming roses that have been sprayed, you also might consider avoiding even handling them in a decorative bouquet.

Secondly, use rose petals from flowers that are aromatic.

If your roses don’t have any scent, then look for another source.

As Dan and I begin a new year, this is our PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

SMALL THINGS IN BIG WAY

To transform yourself, you don’t need to do big things. Just do small things in a big way. Transformation will follow you. #transformyourself#donthaveto#bigthings#smallthings#bigway#transformation#willfollow#you

Until Friday, transformation does not

happen by learning new information.

It happens when you change how you

view and react to other people,

events and things around you.
