Until you are happy with who you are, you will never be happy with what you have.
STARTED ON A NEW SERIES ON; HAPPINESS AND CONTINUING ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?
Hello Followers,
It’s the week-end and in some areas, it’s going to be a cold week-end.
In our town of Roanoke, the weather will be in the mid 50’s.
Love to hear, what temperature it is in your town.
Well, last night I was wishing everyone a safe and happy Veteran’s Day week-end, I had someone reply back stating that isn’t until November 11th, next week-end.
However, we agreed that every day is a celebration.
I guess the reason why I thought this week-end was Veteran’s Day, they are having a parade downtown Roanoke today and we will be going to it.
And yes, that means more pictures to come.
Which brings to positive change.
I selected another book yesterday for the blog, 101 WAYS TO HAPPINESS; by Mike Annesley.
Since all the research of keeping healthy, leads to making your cells happy; this book will help your mental health to be happy.
That is the first step in keeping your cells happy and keeping your body healthy.
POSITIVE CHANGE
None of these pathways will require you to set out on a long, arduous trek.
You won’t need to travel that far to find and follow them.
They are largely about discovering in yourself and in your life the precious gifts that already reside there, hidden.
It’s true you’ll need to embrace certain changes.
But the benefits of making such changes will mostly be self-evident.
They’ll be even more obvious once you’ve taken your first steps along a particular pathway.
You can make your journey in stages.
You’ll have no regrets, no wish to return to base camp and snuggle up in your sleeping bag.
You’re tremendously blessed, already.
This is true of anyone with a fair amount of comfort and good fortune in their lives, somewhere to live; reasonable level of health, a family, no shortage of food, a few friends, maybe a job.
Waking up to the blessings you already possess, including the wealth of opportunities awaiting you, and the capacity you have for making the best of them; is the underlying theme of most of the pathways here.
QUOTES ABOUT LIVING
HAPPINESS
To take the path of least resistance doesn’t mean offering no resistance to anything that comes across your path.
It means being aware of your options in life, thinking on their consequences both immediate and future, and acting on those that feel best to your soul.
They may not be perfect for everyone, and others may try to steer your path in the direction they prefer.
It’s up to you what you choose.
How many are you out there are left-handers?
I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.
WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?
Did you know that at one time Native Americans may have been the world’s largest single population of southpaws?
There is evidence that one in three was left-handed.
Researchers have discovered that you can tell if someone is right or left-handed literally off the top of his head, by checking which way the hair grows out of his scalp.
Right-handed people tend to have hair that swirls clockwise.
People who are left-handed or ambidextrous, however; have no such pattern, the hair can coil in either direction.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?
THROUGH PICTURES
Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.
WITH PICTURES
Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.
20 PICTURES - ENJOY THE SLIDE SHOW
"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."
So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.
Today will continue the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 9 – LET THE PAST GO
Today continuing, THE ROOT OF UNHAPPINESS
Longing is often grounded in incontestable needs, such as when parents long for their child to be drug-free.
Often if our ifs were resolved, our life would be better.
Unhealthy codependency that breeds longing is evident in relationships where rejection, rebellion, or clinging are found.
Longing isn’t productive.
It hangs you up enough, will change a fact or someone else’s actions, then you are residing on another planet with a different reality system, written by Dr. Wayne W Dyer.
Tomorrow, WHAT CAN YOU DO?
This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of ELDER. It’s amazing what and how elder can help keep your body healthy?
While mainstream culture often reaches for a pill for fevers, herbalists recognize many types of fevers and use a variety of herbs based on the kind of fever a person has.
Elderflowers excel for fevers when the person feels hot, is agitated or tense, and isn’t sweating.
Drinking the warm tea encourages the capillaries to open up, thus helping to dispel excess heat from the body.
A traditional tea remedy for fever that is still common today includes a blend of elderflowers, peppermint, and yarrow.
While elderflowers are ideal for this particular type of fever, don’t hesitate to use them in other feverish cold and influenza situations.
An almost infallible cure for an attack of influenza in its first stage is a strong infusion of dried Elder Blossoms and Peppermint.
Put a handful of each in a jug, pour over them a pint and a half of boiling water, allow to steep, on the stove, for half an hour then strain and sweeten and drink in bed as hot as possible.
Heavy perspiration and refreshing sleep will follow, and the patient will wake up well on the way to recovery and the cold or influenza will probably be banished within thirty-six hours.
Yarrow may also be added.
- Maude Grieve, A Modern Herbal
Like most diaphoretics, when taken as a cool tea rather than a hot one, the diuretic effect is more pronounced, encouraging the healthy flow of urine.
NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth
THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.
As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).
I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!
