We are always in transition. If you can just relax with that, you will have no problem.

Hello followers,

It is a day to reflect and relax, for tomorrow is a start of another week.

As we prepare for the week ahead, let us look at the illusion of control.

The illusion of control can affect people in a wide variety of contexts and situations.

You are probably falling prey to this illusion anytime you think your actions influence an event outside your individual control.

Some characteristics of this illusion include:

Engaging in rituals-

For example, wearing a specific lucky item or participating in rituals such as prayer to ensure that your favorite team wins a game.

Dwelling on regrets-

Sometimes, people will ruminate over past events because they mistakenly believe they could have controlled or changed the outcome.

Risky behaviors-

People who think they are in control of events may be more likely to engage in risky behaviors.

Because they think they are controlling what happens through their own actions, they also assume that they will prevent any negative outcomes.

Magical thinking-

Research has found that when people try to make something happen through force of will such as willing a traffic light to change or a basketball player to make the next basket, they tend to attribute the outcome to their own thoughts.

Tomorrow we will continue causes of the Illusion of control.

RECAP THE WEEK-

Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.

Give up your attachment to having things your way.

Let go of becoming but never let go of acting. Stop expecting and start living.

Become comfortable with not knowing.

Just keep in mind: the more we value things outside our control, the less control we have.

The closest to being in control we will ever be is in that moment that we realize we are not.

As Dan and I start a new year; we will be posting daily 365 morning meditations for joyful days all year long.

The book is SUNRISE GRATITUDE by Emily Silva.

March 19th

WHEN THE SUN COMES UP over the ocean, it looks as if half of the sun is lingering below the hemisphere, sharing its last rays before illuminating the entire sky.

Sometimes our radiance lingers below the surface.

At times we feel afraid to shine too brightly and keep our full glow hidden from view.

This does not help anyone.

The world needs your full shine, just as each day needs the entire brightness of the sun.

Rise up and shine your astonishing light.

PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

Until Monday, you cannot control what happens to you,

but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that,

you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.
